Chapter 23-It's like you said.

We came off the stage, smiles on our faces, and hearts beating like drums. My eyes wander past Shane who was clapping along with the crowd and I couldn't help but let my smile grow even more. Maddie nudged me with her shoulder and I glanced over at her.

"Girly next to Shane is basically killing you with her eyes." She told me and I automatically knew who she was talking about. I cut my eyes back to where Shane was and saw Cecilia glaring at me intensely. I cocked an eyebrow at her, which she replied with a simple roll of her ice blue eyes, and a flick of her fire red hair.

I looked at Shane who smiled at me and the vision of him kissing Cecilia on the stage made me snap my head away quickly. Maddie gave me a questioning look and I just shrugged not knowing what Cecilia's problem was anyways. We walked over to the bar we were sitting at before going on stage and took back our places, drinks still in the places we left them.

Maddie went to take a sip of her drink when I noticed a group of guys staring at us wantonly, while glancing down at our drinks with smirks. I quickly yanked her drink away from her before she could take a sip and sat it back down on the counter. She gave me a crazy look, before reaching for her drink which made me slap her hand away before she could reach it.

"You aren't drinking that. Order a new one." I said and pushed our drinks down the counter.

"Why did you do that?" She asked and I glanced back at the guys who now looked unamused.

"Because those guys behind you probably put a roofie in it." I said bluntly and she widened her eyes in shock. "Yeah and now that I moved our drinks away they looked really pissed off." I added, letting my eyes cut behind her, and see one of the guys chugging down his drink while staring at us.

"Nice eye, Hall." She said with an approving look. I shrugged and smiled a bit, raising my hand to get the bar tender's attention, but a hand covered mine and pulled it down slowly. I turned my head and saw one of the guys who was watching us, smirking down at me.

"Can I help you?" I asked yanking my hand away and narrowing my eyes at him. His smirk grew and then he grabbed my hand, yanking me up to my feet, before wrapping his arm tightly around my waist.

"Why the attitude, baby?" He whispered, the smell of strong whiskey filling my nose. I almost gagged from the intensity of it and wiggled in his grasp.

"First off I'm not your baby." I snapped, while forcefully unwrapping his arms off of me. "And second I have a attitude cause you honestly think that by drugging me and my friend is going to get me to sleep with you. Sorry baby, but I'm a lot smarter than I look." His eyes narrowed at my words.

"What do you say about coming home with me?" I glare at him. And then turn to look at Maddie.

"And what do you say about you getting lost?" I say turning back towards him. Out of the corner of my eye, I see the other guys watching us, waiting.

"Come on baby. Why you being like that?" The more he stands near me the more annoyed I grow. I feel a hand on my back, wrapping around my waist. I glare at the guy beside me, thinking its him, but both of his hands are on the bar. I turn to see Shane with his arm wrapped around my waist. "Who're you?"

"I'm her fiance. Who are you?" I stare at the bar, not knowing what to say, when I hear Shane say that I'm his fiance. I look to Maddie, a confused look on my face. Had Shane been hit over the head with a metal bar or something? I reach behind me and unwrap his arm from my waist, I turn to look at Shane.

"Prove it." The guy said said. Maddie grabbed my hand and lifted it, showing off my engagement ring that Lyric had gotten for me.

"Don't touch me." I growl, but not loud enough for the other guy to hear.
