"I can't believe you are making me go to this." Lyric grumbled as I pulled him in to Lucy's coffee shop, his boots dragging on the ground. "I don't even like coffee that much."

I turned my head to look at him and chuckled. "Well that is ironic coming from a guy who use to work at a coffee shop." I said walking over to the order station, him trudging behind me. "And I'm sure they have tea or something." I added.

"At least curly can sing." He shrugged with his hands in his pockets, staring up at the menu. I giggle and looked at he menu with him, deciding that I was just going to go with a black coffee. "Ooo! Ella! Can I get a hot chocolate supreme?" Lyric asked, eyes lighting up like a child going into a candy store as he pointed at the name on the menu.

I laughed and nodded. "Sure Lyric." I said reaching into my bag to get some money. "Like I have said before I am engaged to five year old." I laughed, looking at the cashier with a smile. She gave a warm smile back and then looked between us.

"Is your name Ella Hall?" She asked taking the money from me slowly. I raised an eyebrow and nodded. "Oh! Then you don't have to pay. Lucy said any friends of Shane Mill's is a friend of hers." She smiled handing me back the ten I gave her.

"Oh okay. Thanks." I replied taking the money from her and shrugging over at Lyric, who was giving me a weird look. We waited for our drinks and talked about the show coming up. Lyric's eyes drifted to the counter and he smiled toothily once he saw our drinks.

"Here ya go. Enjoy the show." The cashier smiled handing us the cups. We smiled back and looked around for a table. Well, I did but Lyric was too busy gawking at the drink in his hand. I spotted Maddie waving us over to where she was sitting with Cassie and Rob. I smiled at them and took hold of Lyric's hand, pulling him over to the sofa they were at.

"Hey." I greeted all of them taking a seat next to Rob, Lyric piling in next to me. "Sorry it took us so long.  This one was to busy complaining about how he didn't want to go." I told them pointing at Lyric, who was happily drinking his hot chocolate.

They both laughed at him once he pulled away and glared at me, a whip cream mustache covering his top lip. I cover my mouth laughing as he gave a weird look. "What are y'all laughing at?" He asked looking at us with a raised eyebrow.

"Baby as much as I might find a little facial hair sexy. Whip cream doesn't work for you." I laughing. His eye widen once he realized and quickly wiped his mouth with a napkin. He shot dagger eyes us and threw the napkin at my head, making me laugh even harder.

"You could have said something sooner, ya jerk." He mumbled crossing his arm over his chest in a playful pout.

"Oh I give the girl props! I would have let you keep it there for the whole night." Rob laughed once Lyric flicked him off. I giggled and took a sip of my drink as the lights dimmed. "Oh come on! No one told me they would turn off the lights." Rob whispered in a scared tone.

Cassie chuckled and took hold his hand. "Don't worry, babe. I won't let the big bad monster get you." She teased kissing his cheek. He rolled his eyes and pulled her into his side, snuggling into her hair.

The cashier from earlier walked up to the small stage in the front, spot light shining on her. She leaned up to the microphone and cleared her throat. "Welcome to Lucy's open mic night. I hope you guys are ready to have your ears be overwhelmed with talent. We have ten acts for you tonight." She smiled and Rob chuckled, leaning over to my ear.

"That was so cheesy." He whispered making me giggle and shove him away. He chuckle softly and laid his head back on top of Cassie's. I rested my head on Lyric's shoulder and wrapped my arms around his right arm, snuggling into him. He kissed the top of my head and placed his hand on my thigh, gently rubbing his thumb across it.
