*Lyric's P.O.V*

"Dad, I need this to be perfect. This is the rest of my life we are talking about." I said, pacing the living room, chewing on my nails. "I mean I'm proposing. I'm asking her to dedicate the rest of her life to me. This is a big freaking deal."

Dad's raspy chuckle filled the phone and I could see him shaking his head in my mind, dark black hair with a touch of grey shaking around his face. "Son, take a deep breath and let it out for me." I did as he told and oddly felt a lot less nervous. "Now listen. You love this girl right?""

"More than anything." I smiled softly, hearing the sound the shower, and Ella's singing muffled by the closed door to our shared bedroom in our small New York apartment.

"Then show her that through this proposal. Show her just how much she means to you. Blow her mind with the most special and outrageous proposal you can think of." He told me before adding. "Just don't kill the poor thing." I laughed lightly at his ending.

"No promises dad." I joked and glanced at the door once the shower shut off and Ella's singing grew louder. "Hey. I have to go." I told him and heard him let out a little sad sigh.

"Alright, my boy. Just don't forget to call your old man and your mum every once and while. We miss you. " He said and I nodded my head even thought he couldn't see it.

"Will do, dad. I miss you too. Tell mom I said hi and I'll call her later on in the week." He said his farewell before ending the call, which made me pull the phone away from my ear just as Ella walked out of the room.

She was drying one side of her head with a towel, dressed in a pair of plaid night shorts and a black lacy bra. She was humming once she walked out but stop once she saw me, smiling softly. "Hey you."

"Hi." I smiled as she walked over to me and leaned up on her tiptoes, kissing me softly. "Mm." I hummed in contentment at the touch of her soft lips.

"Who were you on the phone with?" She asked once she pulled away to my dismay. I felt my nerves kick back in as I started to think that maybe she over heard my conversation.

"Oh my...uh...dad. Just calling to check in and what not." I lied, trying not to show my nervousness. She seemed to buy it and nodded, before continuing to dry her hair.

"Hope you told him I said hi." She smiled and I nodded.

"Of course." She walked back into the room and I followed close behind.

She tossed the used towel into the hamper before walking over to the dresser and pulling open my drawer. "So what are we going to do today, babe?" She asked as she pulled on my rolling stones t-shirt, it stopping mid thigh.

I bit my lip at the sight of her. Dark brown hair with sun kissed blonde highlights pulled up into a messy bun, flawless face with no make up to hide the perfection of it, and goddess like body dressed in one of my shirts, making her look absolutely stunning. And I knew at that very moment...

I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.

"I was thinking that we take a scroll down to central park and have a picnic. It is a beautiful day." I let my mouth speak for me. I let that simmer in my head once I said it and nodded a bit, already thinking of some ways to propose at the park. Just would have to make a few calls that's all.

"O. That sounds nice." She smiled, swaying over to me, and wrapping her arms around my torso. "As long as you make you BLT sandwiches I'm down for it." She added and I chuckled, cupping her face in my hands.
