"Honestly Maddie. I am probably still going to get lost once again. This school is too damn big man." I told her as we walked through the halls of the college. "And I know it's my second week here but I still can't find a route to my class without getting lost along the way."

Maddie laughed and draped a arm around me, walking as if she was in a marching band. "My sweet sweet little Ella. Let Mama Maddie make all your worries disappear." She said, pinching my cheek. I chuckled and pushed her away from me, raking fingers through my hair.

"You are so weird." I teased and she stuck her tongue out at me. "Aren't you going to be late for Jazz?" I said and she made a face of surprise before turning on her heals and rushing off.

"God damn it! See this is why I don't try to be nice and help people around!" She called out making me laugh. "I'll see ya latter newbie!" I waved goodbye without looking behind me. My phone vibrated in my jean pocket and I switched my books into the crook of one arm, before digging pulling my phone out.

I smiled once I saw that it was text from Mark; the guy I met at the airport when they lost my bag. I unlocked my phone and bit my lip at the picture of me and Shane from graduation. We looked so happy and in love...even when we weren't dating at the time. Tears threaten to fill my eyes but I pushed them back and made a mental note to change that when I get out of class.

Mark: Hey beautiful! I was wondering if you wanted to hang out when you get done with your class? I know this amazing mom and pop's place down the road from where you are at. You in? :)

I went to reply but tripped over my foot and stumbled into the guy in front of me. I made a surprised sound as my phone fell to the ground along with my books. I groaned in frustration at myself for being so ungraceful.

"I am so sorry. I was too busy looking at my damn phone and not where I was going. I didn't hurt you did? Cause if I did..." I trailed off once I looked up from picking my books and found myself at eye level with mint green eyes that to this day still take my breath away.

They stared back with the same shocked and flabbergasted expression. I sucked in a little breath once a hand covered mine for a brief second but quickly was removed.

"I...uh...sorry...about...us...I mean your books! Not us! Definitely your books!" Lyric rambled standing up with a few of my books in hand. I rose from the ground after searching blindly for my phone, too afraid that if I looked away from him he would disappear. I stared at him with the same look of shock while all my emotions battled each other to see which one would surface first. "Um...here." He said, quickly shoving the book into my stomach.

I gave a little gasp and hunched over as the air was pushed out of me. He muttered a cuss word and pulled the book back. "Jesus! So first you make me drop my book and then stab me in the stomach with it. " I joked looking up at him with a small smile. He looked at me for a second like he just said the rudest thing and soon a smiled played at his lips.

"Still sarcastic as ever I see." He chuckled handing me the book, calmly. I gave a cheeky grin and took the book from him, resting it in my arms with the others. He let out a little sigh, staring at me with sad eyes. He gently cupped my face, brushing some of my hair away from my face.

"I missed you." I whispered leaning into his hug, voice cracking. "More than you could even imagine." I added as tears filled my eyes. I moved away from his hand and rubbed at my eyes, sniffling. "But of course you don't care." I glared and pushed pass him to walk away.

"Ella! Hold on a second!" He exclaimed, catching my wrist in his hand, tingles running through my body. I turned towards him with a glare and tensed jaw. "Of course I care that you missed me cause that means that I'm not the only one that missed what we had. Ella, I never wanted to leave you...but this school...was my only chance to make it in this world. You have to understand that." He told me and I scoffed looking at him in disbelief.

"You think I am upset that you left for college?" I asked pulling my hand away. He didn't say anything and I gave a weak laugh. "Lyric I'm upset because A) You left with out actually giving me time to say good by and trust me it is much easier to have some closer before you disappear. and B) is the fact that you didn't even think about telling me that you were going to this school. I mean just think how different it would have been if you just told me. We could have still been together at this very moment if you just even gave me the hint it was going to be at this school." I noted

He stared at me with indescribable look and stepped towards me. I craned my neck to look at him since the closer he got the more he towered over me. He had definitely grown since the last time we saw each other. My heart sped up as he grew closer to me and I could feel the body heat radiate off of him. He looked down at me with that same look and quickly pulled me into a tight hug.

"I'm sorry..." He whispered into my hair, voice shaking. I let out a little sigh and moved my books to wrap my arms around his torso. "I won't leave you like that again and I swear for now on I will tell anything you possibly need to know." He added as I snuggled into his chest, loving the feeling of being in his arms again.

"I forgive you, Lyric." I told him and he hugged me tighter, which gave me the feeling he was never going to let me go...and I hoped he didn't.

*1 YEAR LATER*

"See I told you that Mark dude was bad news!" Lyric pointed out as we walked down the sidewalk with bags of food in our hands. "But no! You didn't want to listen to me did you?"

"Well, I thought maybe you were just trying to get in my pants like apparently Mark was trying to do." I teased, still having to force out the part about Mark. Lyric rolled his eyes and draped his arm over my shoulder. "You think you can beat him up for me?" I asked leaning into him.

He gave a chuckle and rubbed my arm softly. "Of course, Doll." He said kissing the top of my head. "But you know what this means right?" He added looking down at me.

"What?" I asked

"I get to take you on a date." He smiled and I let out a sigh.

"Lyric." I groaned. "You know that I just want to try to be friends again."

"I do know that and we have been trying to do that for the past year. But answer me this Ms. Hall. How many times have we kissed since we saw each other last year?" He asked and I fell silent, a blush forming. "Exactly. Now where do you want to go for the date?"

I gave a little groan knowing he wasn't going to let up. "Fine. One date. How bout bowling?" I asked and he gave me a huge grin.

"Bowling it is. You aren't going to regret this doll." He told me and I rolled my eyes playfully.

"I hope not." I sighed and wrapped at arm around his waist, leaning into him. "Cause if you mess this up you own me dinner and you have to be my dance partner for swan lake." I added and he gave a little chuckle.

"It's a deal."
