Third Party POV

Time check: 8am on a Wednesday.

"Why am I not coming again later??" Regina asked.

Regina, Ali, Ishna and Noah went for a walk that morning, preparing to do a follow through of their mission. In the afternoon, they will infiltrate Rex's office.

The plan: get to the office, travel to the past, listen to conversations, get enough information, find the book, then plan the next move.

As what Ali said, there is still plenty of time before new moon and they still don't know much. They know that Rex wanted to be the bearer of the moonstone, but why?

"Kasi hindi ka marunong magconceal ng energy enough to stay hidden. Iba ka na ngayon kaysa sa dati, Regina. And the less people, mas maganda. So, kami na to." Ali said.

"So, what am I gonna do here?" Regina pouted.

"Ahh, busy yung bebe niya kaya ganyan yan." Ishna said and that made Regina sulk more.

For the past days, even with the isolation, there are more and more cases of sick Vanguardias. Since Noah will be gone, Narda will help the team that will man the larger infirmary, the one a little bit far from the community.

"I just.. feeling ko I'm not doing anything to help you. Should I be doing something?" Regina looked at Ali and the latter sigh.

"Regina, whatever is in you is really the hope of this island. Try not to get sick. That's what you do."

"I feel ordinary. I can barely feel that I'm that hope." Regina said.

"For now." Ishna said and gave her a knowing look. "And may I remind you, you will technically do something. Talk to your mother."

Regina dejectedly looked at her.

"Right. You know what, Regina, it is long overdue. Wala ka na rin choice. We have to know everything. What are you scared of?" Ali said.

Regina exhaled loudly. She looked up at the sky. It's morning and the lavender haze is not like before.

When they arrived here in the island, the haze, combined with the colors of flowers around is such a sight. But now that there are less flowers, it seems faded and a little lonely to the eyes.

"The answers." She breaths.

"Aren't we all scared of that? But we need it, Regina." Ali said, giving her friend an encouraging look.

...

Regina walked back alone to the cabins as Noah, Ali and Ishna stayed to discuss the plans.

Her pace is slow, thinking on how to start the conversation with her mother about their family, about her father and about all those years she spent being a kid and not knowing a thing.

The first time her father showed up, Ishna said that her mother was so composed, like she has been practicing that moment for years.

What does she know? Does she know something? If no, how did she accept that her soulmate left her for something unknown?

She sighed. So many questions.

During her walk, she bumped into one of the lead healers, a friend of her mother. She knows her since she was a kid.

The healer is carrying a bag of jars full of different types of medical plants that can be found in the island. She is the one leading the team which includes Narda. She smiled and nodded at her.

"Magandang araw, Regina."

For the second time, she unconsciously looked around the haze and the healer noticed it.
