For the next few days, you went on looking for a job and in the end got hired to work at a little bookstore. Life seemed to be going somewhat great for you, you started finally sleeping well and eating healthily as well. For the first time in your whole life, you didn't feel like you needed a person to depend on and this just gave you more motivation to keep going forward and keep living like this.

The only thing that wasn't going as planned was that letter which was still sitting on the coffee table just collecting dust. You didn't have the mental capacity to pick it up and keep digging for any clues because in your mind you had already reached the final dead end. Every single tab on the internet about this woman had been read and analyzed, but still notching specific about her piqued your interest. You even found the official Nevrmores website, but there wasn't a single trace of the contact information for its principal. The only phone number and email were only meant for people who wanted to apply for Nevermore.

But you still decided to take your chances and call the number, but the person who picked up wasn't even Larissa Weems. It was one of the members of the board and when you found out that the person on the other line wasn't Larissa Weems, you got very embarrassed and just hung up. It was one of the most awkward moments of your life and you still vowed to yourself that you will find the principal no matter the circumstances.

After the first day of work, you decided to go on a little walk outside Jericho in the woods. You wanted to feel a little closer to nature so the allegedly small walk turned into one really long walk. The evening sun was peaking through the thick branches of the pine trees once in a while making the atmosphere in the woods to be calming and relaxing. You kept walking deeper and deeper into the woods until you saw the other end of it, and when you stepped out of the tick woods you now had come across a huge castle-like building.

Your jaw drop the moment you saw the tall brick walls covered in tick-green ivy that even for a good minute you needed to stand and repeatedly look it up and down. The whole building was surrounded by a stone fence, so you couldn't go as near to it as you pleased, but still, the view from where you were standing was breathtaking. But to still try to get even better angles you start making your way around the cattle not taking your eyes off it.

Eventually, you stopped when you saw that you had reached the front gate and started wondering what rich people lived there. You knew that nothing good won't come to you by just standing there and looking at the mesmerizing view, the only thing that will come will be the dark, so to not waste any more time you turned around and started walking along the road which you hoped lead back to Jericho.

After you had already walked for 10 minutes you heard a car driving from the way you were coming from, and the scariest part was that as it was coming closer to you it started stopping. ''Am I getting kidnapped?'' You thought to yourself as already you saw the car come into view from the corner of your eye. You were afraid to even look to your side, so you just kept walking forward, when suddenly you heard a familiar voice.

''Need a ride?'' You finally turned to your side to see Marilyn suggesting that you get in the car. Judging that it was already falling dark you quickly without any hesitation hopped into the front seat. ''Thank you.'' You smiled at her before buckling the seatbelt. ''Don't you look lovely today?'' Marilyn couldn't keep her eyes off you, and when she realized that you were waiting for her to start driving she snapped back to reality. ''Well, you don't look half bad either.'' You awkwardly chuckle not used to getting any compliments.

''So what brings you all the way here?'' Marilyn curiously asked while you still were trying to snap back from that one friendly compliment. ''Oh...I was just on a walk and somehow stumbled on that huge castle-like building not so far away from here.'' You were ready to share all of your emotions and thoughts about that building. ''Do you mean Nevermore? It is just from where I was coming from.'' Thornhill fixed up her glasses a little shocked about the huge distance you had traveled to get all the way there.

''It was Nevermore? Wow...now I wish I was an outcast just to get to study there.'' You sarcastically replied with a little disappointment in your voice. For most of the car ride, you showered Marilyn with a ton of questions about the school and its architecture until something that Thornhill said made you remember your burden.

You had asked her if she had any special powers or abilities based on the fact that she was a teacher at that school. ''No, unfortunately, I do not have any special gifts which came as a shock to many other people at Nevermore, I guess the only person who didn't look at me weirdly was the Nveremores principal.'' ''Larissa Weems?'' You immediately spit out the woman's name with the hope that you might have finally found a possible outcome without any dead ends.

''Yes...what's about her? Do you know her?'' Marilyn asked becoming a little defensive as you mentioned the name of the principal as if she was holding some kind of grudge against her. ''No, no, it is just that somehow I have a letter addressed to her in my position, and for the past few days I have tried to contact her.'' ''Oh, well maybe you can give me the letter and I can pass it further along to Principal Weems.'' Thornhills words were kind and you knew she wanted to help and as you were about to give her the letter you remembered that it is still in your home.

''That would be kind of you, but I don't have the letter on me right now...'' For a second everything fell silent before you remembered the other best solution, ''Oh, maybe you can give me her phone number? ''

In the end, Marilyn gave you Larissas Weems's phone number and as soon as she dropped you off you rushed up to your apartment ready to contact the woman who you had been desperately searching for almost a week already.
