As soon as you left the train station your eyes immediately were drawn to Jericho's nature. Because you had decided to start your life just right at the beginning of fall the leaves had just now started to get an orange and brown tint to them making the view outside immaculate. "Maybe it won't be that bad..." You put on a cheerful smile and continue heading to the bus station or else you might miss the bus.

When you boarded the bus and found a free seat you still weren't able to get that man out of your head. It wasn't like you were starting to fall for that man because obviously, you weren't into guys, but somehow he still managed to get your attention anyways. But you couldn't agree more that thinking about this man was a good distraction from being in constant worry about the apartment situation.

The document you had so desperately searched for needed to be handed to the person you were renting the apartment from. It was a sweet old lady who had a really dark humor that even sometimes while rearranging some plans through the telephone she would say something that left you in a worry. And you were stressing over that one paper just because in one of those calls the lady said 'If you won't have that document on you then I won't let you in until you have it...you will have to sleep on the street...' before she laughed it off levying you completely speechless on the other side of the line.

"At least I am not sleeping on the street." You slide down a little more in the chair showing that you were completely relaxed. You and that lady had decided to meet in the apartment where she would tell you everything about that place, how things worked, and how you needed to maintain it. You were excited to meet that lady and see how she looks and acts in real life because genuinely she seemed like a really sweet person despite the dark humor. That was the one thing you had noticed about yourself, you always wanted to know what the person on the other line looked like no matter if it was just a small unimportant conversation or a really important one, you always needed to find out how that person looked like.

After the exact 10-minute bus ride you arrived at the tall building in which on the 6th floor stood your new permanent 'big girl's house' with a door number 18.  "There is truly no going back anymore." You think to yourself as you look the building up and down before gathering all of your stuff and entering it. You were glad to see an elevator in this building because now you won't need to bring all of the things up to the 6th floor by yourself, but after pressing the button and waiting for good 2 minutes the elevator never came. So you press the button again thinking that maybe someone else is on it right now, then you press it again and again now already spam pressing it but the elevator wasn't showing up.

"For fuck sake!" You loudly groan making your voice echo throughout the whole start case. You walked up to the first step and look up to mentally prepare yourself for this physical workout only to see the feeling stretch high above you. "I will die before I will even reach the 6th floor." You got a little annoyed with the world but still pushed forward and started taking the stairs up. Slowly but surely you manage to step up to the 6th floor already out of breath feeling like you would pass out, but after a few seconds of taking in deep breaths of the musty staircase air, you had fully gotten yourself back.

So after a quick knock on the door because there wasn't a doorbell an old lady answered the door making you see what you had expected. The lady was around in her late sixties, quite short, and with short grey hair on her head. "Oh hello dear...you  must be Y/n..." to with you quickly nod your head, "Come in, come in, I've been waiting for you." She stepped away from the door making a way for you to walk in. "How can such a sweet lady have such dark humor...I hope it is dark humor." You stepped into the apartment immediately getting the smell of air in your lungs and you could smell a light floral scent trough out the whole apartment.

The lady was starting to make her way deeper into the apartment so you quickly start taking off your shoes before the lady turned back to you and said: "You don't need to take your shoes off..." "Oh, I prefer to take them off...feels strange to walk around the house with outdoor shoes," You say as you neatly place the pare of your shoes next to the wall so no one would trip over them. "All right do what you please, this is your home now...if you have documentation..." She sarcastically laughed, making you nervously chuckle... at least you hoped it was a sarcastic laugh.

You followed the old lady into the living room where you finally handed in the documents immediately feeling free from that burden that had been tormenting you for the past day and after that, the lady showed you around the house. This apartment wasn't big but I didn't need it to be big, it had one bedroom a kitchen shared with the living room, and a bathroom but most importantly it had a balcony. In general, it was just perfect for one lonely soul. You didn't need anything more, you were just glad that you finally had your own place where you could do whatever your heart desired especially just stand on the balcony and enjoy the beautiful view that overlooked the ground of Jericho.
