You were sitting on the exact same bench facing the beautiful river. The chilly breeze was brushing through your hair as the sun on the other hand felt amazing on your skin. You had zero care in the world everything seemed so peaceful as if you were all alone with no one else besides you.

You closed your eyes to take in a deep breath of the dense fall air when you suddenly felt someone sit beside you, thigh to thigh. You looked to see Larissa Weems. She didn't say a word, she just kept on gazing at the beautiful view in front of you, but the river and the trees weren't as beautiful as the woman sitting beside you.

For a good minute, you kept gazing at her, wondering how God could make such a breathtaking woman, with these long locks, tall legs, and the most beautiful face you had ever seen, not to mention the lipstick she always wore. She was a goddess in your eyes, a goddess you thought you would never get. But you decided to take your chances, to throw everything at the world and just try because the thought of not knowing was killing you.

So you tapped the beautiful woman on the shoulder and she immediately looked at you with her piercing blue stare making you get butterflies. But you still, despite being scared of the consequences, leaped in and kissed her right on her red lips. But this kiss didn't last long, because the woman you had been falling for so long almost instantly pushed you away. She had anger mixed with confusion in her eyes and you knew you lost it.

"You're disgusting!" She said as you from fear and embarrassment stood up and started backing off. "I don't want to see you...ever again! Leave." She almost shouted at you as you were in tears, already running away. You felt how your heart shatter in your chest before the world started crumbling around you.

But you kept running and the further you ran the more the colors of the world, which was falling apart, were starting to fade. The shapes of buildings and trees started to get faint until you closed your eyes to escape reality before opening them back to see yourself in an empty space without any shapes or colors. It was only white from every side you looked, and it seemed to be stretching out forever but in the end would just loop making you come back right where you stood at the moment.

So all you could do was just crumble on the floor and just stay there. Your eyes were dry, the was nothing for you to cry. You felt stuck in this world, you didn't know where you were but then a loud bang echoed through the massive space and the floor cracked a little as if it was made out of glass, then another bang making the floor crack even more, only were you stood it reminded perfect. The third and final bang shattered the ground beneath you and you started falling into the white void seeing how the shattered bits of glass on the other side were mirrors.

You saw yourself in the reflection in one of the bits falling right beside you and you wanted to turn away, to not see your misery but elsewhere you looked the same image appeared. Now you just wanted to escape this reality to just hit rock bottom and die, you didn't want to live like this. Finally, you felt your body slam against something and you finally thought it was the end, but when you opened up your eyes you knew this wasn't your final breath.

You looked around and saw that you were back in your bed, under your soft sheets, you were trying to understand what had just happened when got hit back to reality by a knock on the door. So you quickly got yourself out of bed and started walking up to the door while thinking to yourself: "Another of that dream..."

It had been a few days since whatever almost happened with you and Larissa, and in this time period, you had been avoiding her at all costs. You didn't pick up when she was calling nor when she was texting, you were scared that all of that what happened on that bench was made up by your brain and if you had kissed her your whole life would fall apart just like this dream. This exact dream had been tormenting you since that day and you had no clue of how to make them stop.

As you passed your living room you saw that the clock was showing 1 pm on a Saturday so no wonder that someone was knocking on your door, but who? Before you could manage to get to the door you heard them open and the person who had been knocking had let themselves in. You panicked and were looking around for something to grab just in case it was someone with bad intentions, but then you heard a voice: "Y/n?" The voice sounded a little concerned, scared even and you knew who it exactly was so there was no need for you to look for a weapon.

"I'm here...I was just sleeping." You replied as you finally made your way to the hall to face Larissa Weems. "Are you all right dear?" She asked as she saw you look in the mirror to see your reflection. There was nothing wrong with your image, just your hair was messy from sleeping, but you could definitely see that on the inside you were a complete mess. "I'm fine...but why are you here." You felt a little bit awkward to see her now in person after what had happened days ago. "You weren't picking up your phone, so I got concerned that something bad might have happened which leads me here..." For a second she pulled her eyes away from you to look around the room before facing you again, "you don't lock your doors?"

Larissa genuinely seemed surprised about that, because just now she had let herself in your apartment, especially now that you had been sleeping. In fact most of the time you indeed forgot to lock the doors but you weren't about to say that to Larissa because you felt ashamed. "I guess I just forgot." Larissa absolutely didn't like the way you said it, in her eyes the words came out of your mouth so casually as if you didn't care, even tho you on somewhat of a level you did care but not as much as Larissa. "You can't just forget...you know how dangerous it is?" Her voice became more strict as if she was scolding her own student. You weren't about to interrupt her because you liked that she cared and you allowed her to have this moment.

"Y/n...you need to be more responsible, you don't know who can decide to come here and-" "But, but, but..." You cut her off because you thought that your opinion was important in this lecture, "What are the odds of someone deciding to come to this building, on this exact floor, right in my apartment? What is the possibility?" You liked guessing your odds when it came to you being in a situation with slim chances. "You shouldn't bet on your chances Y/n..." Larissa skeptically replied.

"Fine, fine..." You finally had enough of her lecture in the first 10 minutes of you being awake, "As you are already here...do you want a cup of tea or something." You tried not to focus on the things that almost happened days ago and hoped that Larissa wouldn't bring it up either. "I won't turn down a cup of tea." Larissa was about to make her way deeper into your apartment when she noticed that you didn't walk around the house with your shoes, so she started taking them off as well. "Oh...you don't need to take them off, I haven't cleaned the apartment yet." But Larissa didn't listen to you and took her shoes off anyways.

She followed you into your living room which was connected to the kitchen and carefully sat down at the table while you made the tea for both of you. You begged to God that in this awkward moment of silence, Larissa won't say anything about the topic you tried to avoid the most. And Larissa wasn't about to do so, she had a feeling you had freaked out that day, and she didn't want to bring it up right now because she didn't want for you to feel uncomfortable and make the situation worse. Right now all she wanted was for you to know that everything was okay between you two. Larissa was a little bit sad that that moment didn't work out for you two, but she wasn't about to stop there and then.
