"Golden brown and crisp. That's how it's supposed to look." Steven says looking at the pancakes. "How's it going over there?" Laurel asked as she was finishing wrapping Belly's gift. "Look at these pancakes. "Morning, everyone." Belly says "Hey! There's the birthday girl, looking like a vision in floral." Susannah says hugging the girl. "Happy sweet 16, Bells. Now Belly Button's getting old finally." Jeremiah says hugging the girl after his mom. Steven and Cassie were the next to tell the girl happy birthday. "Thanks, everyone," Belly says. "Happy birthday sweetheart," Laurel says hugging her daughter. "Your Mickey Mouse pancakes are ready." "I'm not really, uh, hungry," Belly tells her mom.
"Oh. Shall we open gifts?" Laurel suggests. "Oh, you're gonna love mine." Susannah cheered as they go to sit down. Laurel's gift was the first one to be open, which was a book. "It's a first edition. I got it from a rare book dealer." Laurel says to the girl. "Thanks, Mom.' Belly says. "Turn to the bookmarked page. It's your favorite poem," said Laurel. "Oh, yeah. I remember Susannah teaching us to recite this." Belly says smiling as she looked at the page. Belly starts to say the poem and the others start to join in.
As the poem comes to an end, Belly turns to her mother, smiles, and says "Thank you. I love it." "You're welcome," Laurel says smiling back at the girl. "Okay, open mine now, Belly," Susannah says handing the girl a box. "Oh, wow. They're gorgeous. Thank you, Susannah." Belly says looking at the blonde woman. "My mom gave me these pearls for my sweet 16. Radiant, isn't she" Susannah says as she puts the necklace on Belly. "They look great on you, sweetheart," Laurel says smiling at the girl. "Oh, I'm next," Jeremiah announced handing the girl his present. "Thank you," Belly says laughing as she accepts the gift. "It's a good-luck charm to help you pass your driving test," Jeremiah tells the girl.
"Perfect. Thank you." Belly says. "Think fast Belly," Steven says throwing the present at the girl. "Steven," Laurel says. "Wow, Steven, I can't believe you actually spent money on me." Belly jokingly says to the boy. "Relax. I just didn't want you stealing mine next year when I get in." Steven tells the girl. "I didn't know you were still considering Princeton," Laurel says. "You know, I-I think I'm gonna apply for some scholarships, and Dad thinks I can get some financial aid," Steve says.
"Cassie, Conrad," Susannah says looking at the couple. Cassie stands up and grabs the bag near the chair and hands it to Belly. "Its from both of us," She tells her and Belly smiles at her before opening the gift. Inside the bag was a necklace with the girl's birthstone and a purple floral crop top. "Thanks," Belly says to the two. "Oh, so I got to go. Um, I promised Cleveland that I'd show him some knots today, so...Happy birthday, Belly." Conrad says as he stands up from the chair. "I have an interview in 10 minutes," Cassie says also standing. " Happy birthday belly" Cassie also tells the girl as Cassie goes up the stairs and Conrad goes out the door.

"Hey," Cassie says as she walks out to the pool. "Cassie this is Taylor, Taylor you know," Belly says introducing the two. "hi Im Taylor," Taylor says, and Cassie waves at her. "Your the girl Belly is always talking about," Cassie says smiling a the girl. "aw belly you talk about me," Taylor says smiling at the girl. "Just visiting for the weekend," Taylor tells the girl and the girl nods her head as Conrad comes in through the gate. "You guys playing chicken," Cassie asks as Conrad comes up and grabs the girl's hand."Who's winning" Conrad ask. "obviously," Jeremiah tells him flexing his muscles. "Um, yeah. it was, it was Taylor's idea." Belly tells her.
"Fun," Cassie says smiling at them as she and Conrad go to sit down. Cassie and Conrad are currently playing a game of slide, when Casees sees a ball coming her way. She hits the ball before it can hit her. Cassie wouldn't have a problem with it though considering it was a beach ball. "You ok," Conasks ask inspecting her face "I'm fine" Cassie assures him grabbing his hands. "Taylor." Belly scolds the girl. "It was an accident," Taylor says. "I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" Belly ask "I'm fine it didn't even hit me," Cassie tells the girl "Let's go to my room." Conrad whispers to the girl as he goes to stand up.
"Bye everyone," Cassie says grabbing Conrad's hands and standing up. They make their way up to Conrad's room and sit on his bed. Conrad leans in and kisses the girl. The kiss gets heated and Cassie lays back. "don't you have to be at the book store" Cassie mumbles. "Shit," Conrad says pulling away. Cassie sits up and Conrad grabs something. "Love you," Cassie tells him as he walks out of the room. He turns back around and kisses the girl and then officially leaves. "Love you too," he tells the girl. The girl gets up, closes the door, and gets ready to take a shower.
