For the lovely people who made me aware that the piece did story that take place in the last are confusing, I've decided that I should try a method where whenever the story has pink heart divider at the start and the end, that piece of the story will take place in past tens

"We need to go grocery shopping then," Cassie says looking over at Conrad. "we can do that after we go to the house." Conrad said. "but then we will just get sidetracked," Cassie tells him. "write it on your hand or something" Conrad suggest. "does it look like I carry pens on me" Casie replied. Conrad hands the girl a pen and she smiles at him. They pull up to the beach house and get out. Cassie goes to grab the bags, but Conrad beats her to it. "Here," Conrad says tossing the keys over to the girl. The girl walks up to the door and unlocks it. She makes her way inside the house with Conrad trailing behind her.
"Do we still have hot cocca?" Cassie asks. "we should" Conrad answers, Cassie makes her way to the kitchen and looks through the cabinets. "found it" She calls out to Conrad and goes to grab mugs.

"Why would he take off like that to Cousins? I don't think he's missed a day of class in his life. Not even when Mom was sick." Jeremiah rants. "I'm not sure. " Belly stutters. "Who was he yelling at on the phone? I mean, it had to have been Dad, right? What could they possibly be arguing about?" Jeremiah continues. "Yeah, no, no, it was probably Adam. I mean, he and Conrad are always disagreeing on something. " Belly says agreeing "I really don't want to get dragged in the middle of whatever bullshit Conrad's in right now, but if something were to happen to him, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself." Jeremiah says "Hey. No, no, no. Nothing has happened to Conrad, okay? I mean, I'm sure he's just spending the day surfing and he has his phone off." Belly says trying to convince the boy.
"Maybe" Jeremiah taking a small pause before continuing. "But it's only been a month since... You know how he is. He just bottles up all that shit until at some point it explodes. I don't think he has anyone. He definitely hasn't been talking to me." Jeremiah said. "All right. Do you want me to come with you to Cousins?" Belly asks. "I didn't need you to come here. I think I can handle things fine on my own." Jeremiah tells the girl. "No, I know you can. But you don't have to. I mean, if you need me to come" Belly says. "I don't. Conrad and Cassie probably don't even want you there either" Jeremiah says as he gets into the jeep. 'I know that even though he won't say it, Jeremiah wants me to come because he's afraid. I still know this boy better than I know almost anyone. So I'll go for him' Belly thinks to herself, "I'm coming with you." Belly tells him
