"Good job, Marcella."
I saw Paul walk up to me after filming.
"Thank you, sir. So, when will The Shield debut?"
"Sunday at Payback."
"Payback? So in five days?"
He nodded.
"Is that really enough time to prepare? What if I can't do this?"
He tried not to laugh. "You'll do fine. Go down the hall. There is a seamstress waiting for you."
"Seamstress?"
"What? A Shield girl needs an outfit to match the rest of the team. Now, go."
He walked off and I went to the seamstress. I had seen her around but had never talked to her. I had no reason too. I just wore whatever I wanted. Now, I was getting an outfit fitted for me? Was this a mistake?

"There. Look in the mirror. What do you think?"
I turned and looked in the mirror. After my fitting on Monday, Katie, the seamstress, started working on my outfit. I wasn't sure how it was going to look. As I looked at my outfit, I felt uncomfortable. It was never something I would ever wear.
"It's... a little different."
She laughed. "Well, of course it is. It is supposed to be different than what you usually wear. I think it looks fantastic."
"It isn't too... revealing?"
"No more revealing than what the other girls around here wear. You look amazing."
"The boys are going to have so much fun making fun of me in this."
"It will be fine, I promise. Now, take it off so I can finish up the last few touches. I will have it for you here tomorrow."
I took it off and put on my normal clothes before leaving the workshop. It would be fine. Everything would be fine. I walked out of the office and ran into someone. I looked up and saw Colby.
"Oh, hey, Colby."
"Yeah, hey."
He seemed annoyed. He was usually very friendly towards me, always too friendly. What was his deal?
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I got to go."
He walked off after that. I hoped this wasn't going to be a problem, I thought, as I walked out of the arena. I couldn't mess this up.

"How does it seem more revealing than before?"
"I told you, a final few touches."
"You're going to make this show have to change its rating."
Katie laughed. "Just put it on."
I sighed and put on the outfit. It was something I would never wear in my entire life. The girls in the workshop fixed up my hair and makeup and I looked in the mirror. I didn't look like myself anymore. The outfit (...) was never something I would wear. I was used to jeans and a shirt. Not all this stuff. It was almost hard to look at myself. I sighed. Only a month or two. I had to keep that in mind.
"Knock, knock."
I recognized it to be Jon's voice and I grabbed a robe nearby to cover myself up. I still wasn't comfortable in this outfit. Jon walked in with flowers and smiled when he saw me.
"Wow, look at you."
"Yeah."
"You don't like it?"
"Not really. It's weird."
"It will be fine. Let's see the outfit."
"Definitely not."
"Marci, come on."
"No, Jon. I'm going to hide this as long as I can."
"Fine, fine. Here."
He handed me the flowers.
"They're beautiful."
"We just wanted to welcome you into The Shield."
"We?"
And then I saw Joe and Colby walk in.
"You look nice." Joe told me.
"Thanks, Joe."
We stood in silence for several seconds.
"So, what does the outfit look like?" Jon asked as he smirked.
I sighed. "You want to see it that badly?"
"I'm pretty curious. And we all know Colby is curious."
"Ha ha, Jon." Colby looked annoyed at the comment. What was wrong with him? He was like this when I ran into him yesterday. I was expecting him to be all over me about the revealing outfit but he had been pretty quiet. Knowing Colby, this was unusual for him.
"Fine."
I pulled off the robe and all of their eyes went wide.
"Whoa." They all said in unison.
I immediately wanted to cover up again.
"It's awful, isn't it?"
"No. You're...wow." Jon couldn't take his eyes off of me.
"Ok, the robe is going back on now."
I put it back on and the three of them stopped looking at me.
"I have to go." Colby said suddenly before walking out of the room.
"What is the matter with him?"
"Probably can't handle how good you look." Joe said as he smiled.
"Wow, thanks, Joe. But seriously, is something bothering him?"
"You've never been this concerned over Colby before."
"I know. I just want to know. I can't mess this up. I can't have him mess this up for me. Is it something to do with me?"
The boys looked at each other.
"What? What are you two hiding?"
Jon spoke first. "He isn't too happy about you being a part of The Shield."
"What? Seriously? Why?"
"It used to be just us three. We traveled together, we fought together and we would win together. I think maybe it is just hard for him to adjust. Colby hates change. He always has. Once he gets used to things, it will be fine. But right now, he is pretty upset. Just give him some time to adjust. Now, we are going to go. Meet you at the Gorilla."
Jon and Joe left the room and I took a deep breath. The wardrobe women put the final last touches and I left. This was it. My big debut.
