"What am I go to wear? I've never been on a date before."

"Girl, you have got to calm down."

I was in my room and Mercedes was helping me pick out my outfit for my date. After revealing all of my secrets to Colby, I decided that it was time to come clean with everyone about my life and it turned out really well. I was now closer with my group of friends and I felt, normal. Like this was how it was supposed to be and I was happy about it.

"Ugh, all I have are jeans and t shirts! Oh, Marci, to keep the boys away from fantasizing about your body, only wear conservative clothing. You won't need any other kinds of clothes." I threw myself onto the bed, stressed about this whole thing.

Mercedes started laughing. "Give me a minute. I'll be right back."

Mercedes left for a few minutes and then came back in with a shirt and jean shorts. She also brought with her some jewelry, shoes and makeup too.

"Sit."

I did as she said and she started doing my hair and makeup. I then got dressed and walked in front of the mirror. I looked and I almost want to cry. I looked so pretty. I don't remember the last time I dressed up that wasn't for WWE purposes. I took a few deep breaths. You can do this. I turned to Mercedes and she held the shoes in her hands.

"I can't wear those."

"What? Why?"

"I've never worn heels before."

"Never?"

"I thought they would make my legs look good so I never wore them."

"Man, you had some major issues, sweetheart."

"I know. But I'm going to try and be over it. Give me the shoes."

Mercedes handed me the heels that looked like you could seriously injure a person with. She helped me into them and then let me try and walk in them. I stumbled a bit but soon got the hang of it.

"My feet are hurting."

"They will until you walk in them a bit."

My feet were killing me but I would tough it out. I looked at my outfit (...) in the mirror once more before grabbing onto Mercedes and walking out the door. I walked down the hall towards the hotel lobby, trying not to stumble and fall on my face. I saw Jon and Joe standing in the lobby and they looked surprised as I walked in. Then I saw Colby. He was dressed in a dress shirt and jeans. His hair was neatly in place and he smiled as I walked over to him. But as I did, Mercedes let go of me and I stumbled because of the heels. I started to fall but Colby caught me. I heard Colby laugh. He was going to make fun of me not being able to walk in heels. My anxiety started to kick in a bit.

"Weak in the knees for me, sweetheart? To be honest, I'm a bit nervous too."

I couldn't help but laugh.

"No, it is these stupid torture devices on my feet."

He looked down at my feet. "Oh, I didn't notice them before. Well, I will make sure you don't fall."

He took my arm and linked it around his. He went slowly as we walked, making sure I didn't fall. Where had this Colby been hiding all this time? This caring and gentle side that I had never seen before.

"Now, go have fun you crazy kids but don't keep her out to late. I expect her back here by 11." I heard Jon say as we walked out of the hotel.

"Don't worry, sir. I'll have her home by curfew." Colby said over his shoulder.
