Feeling Free

As my eyes begin to flutter open, I feel a weight wrapped around me, too heavy to be a duvet. Id like to believe its Tom but theres not even a slight chance he would've been able to break in.

I lift my head to have a look and to my surprise on the bed i find Vive Star and Lotty. Lotty had latched herself around me, and the other girls are sprawled out on their backs like starfish. I assume it had been the girls that tidied my room, like a thank you gift.
I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside of me, just like i used to get when Ria would cuddle me and tell me how much she appreciated me.

It occasionally makes me sad to think that I will never see Ria again, but why should I be sad when she found it so easy to run into the arms of a gang when I was there the whole time warning her of whats to come. I slap myself mentally because all thinking about Ria does is put me in a bad mood so instead I decide to just lay back for a while, and watch how me and the girls breaths would synchronise every once in a while.

"Hi girls!" I say, exited to have them back
Lotty lifts her head up slowly while stretching her arms
"HI CEE!" she says equally exited
"God Lotty! Any louder?" Vive laughs as she wakes up
"Lotty, will you kindly shut the fuck up!?" Star says, we all burst out laughing, Star is always so grumpy in the morning.
"GUYS-" Lotty smacks her hand to her mouth "I mean guys lets grab some alcohol and sneak outside!" shes terrible at whispering
we all nod and clamber out of bed and Vive rolls on the floor pretending to be a ninja we giggle a bit then make our way to the door.

As we wander the halls, Star presses herself around the corners also pretending to be ninjas and we all laugh trying our hardest to be quiet.
We crack open the door to the cellar and run downstairs, the cobblestone floor is freezing cold on our bare feet and I jump up and down trying not to keep them on the floor for too long.
As Vive is grabbing a bottle of whiskey she accidentally clonks it against another bottle and she turns to look at us with her lips sucked in
we all silently laugh at the face shes pulling.

We each grab a bottle of our preferred alcohol "last one to the top is a rotten egg!" I whisper and everyone sprints back up the stairs.
We all pant when we reach the hallway and Star accidentally snorts while trying to muffle her laugh, I collapse to the floor while practically pissing myself and soon enough everyone was rolling on the floor creasing.

Once wed all gathered ourselves, Lotty takes us down a flight of stairs which lead to a small hallway with a window at the very end.
"are you guys sure this is safe?" I ask
"we've done this soy many times don't worry Cee! now cmon don't be such a woos! Live a little!" Says Lotty, I shrug and wait for the others to get to the other side of the window before handing them my alcohol and climbing through.

I get through and take a look around me, were stood in a pitch black alleyway, the path is dimly lit with a few street-lamps and they glow a bright orange colour, opposite where were standing is a road which leads to several more alleyways. Its freezing cold and its raining but not too hard.

Before I know it, Star and Vive have taken off and sprinted across the road. Lotty takes my hand and runs after them. The rain soaks my clothes, and my feet freeze up as we run through puddles.
We turn a corner and find the other two sitting down on some rocks patting the free space next to them.

When we sit down we unscrew our drinks
"Cheers to freedom!" I cheer and we all clink our bottles together before chugging them back.
"Come on guys! Lets keep moving, Im getting soy cold!" says Lotty. We get up and Lotty runs ahead of us taking us down some more alleyways before we come out to a huge abandoned car park.

I spin around with my arms stretched out to the side of me while tipping my head back to look at the stars
"I FEEL SO FREE!" I shout, all of the girls laugh and join in with me and we get so dizzy that we collapse onto the cold, wet floor. we finish our drinks

"cmon guys!! lets go further! cmon!" I beckon the girls up but instead they look at each other then back to me
"what? whats wrong?"
"We've only ever been this far.." says Star
"Well then lets go farther!!" I say, desperate to run around the empty streets
"cmon guys! A little further cant hurt!" says Vive
I give them all puppy eyes and they huff but eventually give in. Vive puts her hands on my shoulders
"Im only coming because I love you." she huffs and brings me into a warm hug and everyone else joins in

I take the lead this time, I let my legs run faster and faster, I turn random corners and we end up at the entrance to the town
"Listen, Cee. I get that your exited to be outside but were at such a big risk of being caught in the town." says Star
"Fine!" I shrug "Ill go all by myself then! doesn't bother me" I cant go back now, Ive come so far
"oh hell to the no! She is NOT wandering that town all by herself!" Lotty says to the others
"Im going with her"

"Thats stupid Lots. You're going into the town with a girl we just met on your own!" Says Vive, I don't understand how she switched up so fast
"Yeah.. I agree, that is a stupid idea Lotty"
"well fuck off back to Roman then." Lotty spits at them.

The two girls walked away from us as I stood there staring at Lotty in utter shock.
