-"How sweet!" Tom snaps his head around.
I look up at the door to see another member of the opp gang
"What a nice heartfelt memory to end your lives on" He puts a gun against Toms temple. My stomach sinks.
Time slows down. I sneak my hand behind Tom using all my strength to move my stiff paralysed body. I struggle to lift his gun up.
"If you kill me, my men will hunt you down."
"Sounds like fun."
I fire without thinking upon hearing those words, and shoot the unknown person in the chest.
My body falls to the bed in exhaustion-

"We need to leave, like right now!" He collects my collapsed body in his arms and begins rushing down the pitch back hallway. The white walls and tight corners barely visible.
"Surround them!" An unknown voice shouts as Tom sprints down the path. My heartbeat quickens upon hearing the low bellow of multiple men shouting me and Toms whereabouts. Toms braids slap against his back as he quickens his pace, winding through the maze like basement. Shots from who knows where bounce off the walls around us, the sound of the empty shells hitting the concrete floor repeat over in my head. "You still with me!?" Tom shouts to me as he rips his pistol from his pocket
"Yea." I respond with a shaky voice.
He lets shots fly in all directions, the lead whizzes through the thick air, some shots hit the men, some don't.
With each round of bullets Tom lets off, about three or four thuds echo around the winding building. If I listen close enough, I can just about hear them gargling on their blood. Serves them right.

The dim moonlit sky creates a light at the end of the hall. Upon seeing it, Tom runs ten times faster then before, the cold wind slicing my face and making my eyes water.
Multiple heavy footsteps thunder behind us like a herd of horses, unsynchronised and intemperate.
Their radios blare in their pockets, and their hostile voices interrupt one another.

We reach the exit, Tom still keeping a fast pace as  we rush towards his parked car which is barely visible in the dark corner. The men continue shooting at our silhouettes, some coming so close to me that I can actually hear the bullet split the atoms in the air. Hurriedly Tom throws me into the passenger seat, causing my body to slam onto the dashboard. He slams my door before getting in himself
"Don't worry my angel, we'll be safe soon" The engine roars and we speed out of the drive, shots being constantly fired at the car, some coming through the window shattering the glass sending it into our faces.
We keep driving faster then ever before, faster then Tom went in the street races. And this
time I'm more then happy that were driving at such speed. The gravel and dust kicks up behind the car as the wheels spin round at rapid speeds. I sit paralysed in fear staring into the wing mirror as their house disappears in the distance, turning into nothing but a dark abyss. As we go further, the road that was behind us looks like a black nothingness.
I turn my head to look at Tom who's eyes are glued to the road ahead of us
"Oh my God!" I slap a hand onto my mouth in utter disbelief
"Its okay just relax" He speaks with a calm tone which would usually cause my joints to loosen and my mind fog to disperse, however in this instance all its doing is terrifying me
"Fuck fuck!" I shout in hysteria causing my heart to pound in my ears
"I just need to get you to safety" His soft voice grows hoarse, his usual honey-like tone runs dry and empty

"Tom you're shot!" I shout in a panic as I push down on the hole penetrating his chest
"Its just a graze" He laughs as tears well in his deep copper eyes, his lips twitch into a forced smile as his eyebrows raise
"But its not.." I sigh, his hot red blood refusing to stop pouring out of the gushing wound. I continue pressing down, hoping that my weak attempt to stop the bleeding will work
"I will be just fine" His breathing slows as the only warmth my hands feel is from the blood flowing out of the hole in his stiff body, his bronze skin fades into a sickly grey and the blushed pink that usually paints his lips turns into a cold blue.
I watch as trickles of blood drip out of his mouth and nose, dropping onto my arms like harsh rain,
and his deep honey eyes roll back into his head
"Stay with me Tom!"

"Ich liebe dich, Taylor, ich liebe dich mit allem, was ich habe" His sentence forms slowly, his thick German accent coating each syllable that leaves his bloodied mouth.
"What?" I question. I have no clue what words just came out of him, but each word he spoke came from deep within his cold heart
"I love you-" His voice trails off, as does his soul. I sit frozen. Shocked. My shaking hands pressed against his chest. My head cloudy with fear and confusion.
"Tom?"
"Tom!" Tears stream out of my eyes like waterfalls as I await a response that I know I wont get
"TOM!" My voice screeches as I strain my raw throat. My lip trembles and my heart shatters into a million tiny pieces.

I look down at my own arm, mine and Toms blood is mixed onto it.
As I'm sat rigid with shock the sound of tires screeching behind me grows louder.
Toms car drives into a tree, the airbag expands into my already frail body. My ribs feel like their being broken in half individually, and the sound of Toms bones crunching swarms the silence.
I clutch onto Toms lifeless body, searching for a warm spot just so I can feel the safety I had felt just five minutes ago when he was clutching me in his arms. Yet everywhere I place my hand is already going cold.
I sob into his wet bloody chest, clutching onto his jacket wishing that he'd wrap his arms around me. Wishing that he'd stroke my hair and whisper sweet nothings to me in his deep husky voice. But not even my vast imagination can imagine him back to life.

Hundreds of rounds of bullets begin pounding the car wreck. A few hitting me. One goes through my shoulder, emitting a loud cracking sound, one goes through my forearm slicing through nerves and veins spurring blood onto the glass which surrounds me. And one flies directly into the side of my head, splitting my skull and exploding in my clouded brain. However I don't let go of Tom.

So there they lay, still hand in hand.
Their cold bodies still pressed against one another.
Their souls interwinding as they leave their bodies.
And their hearts still tied together.

Each memory of abuse, rape, torture is put to rest with Taylors seizing body.
Each memory of laughter, and pure happiness disappears in a matter of seconds.

Their maroon blood mixing together to make a deep wine red.
The same blood that was spilt after each argument and fight.
The same blood that pulsed through their bodies at immense speeds when their lips locked together.

Unspoken words echo in the empty silence which surrounds their peaceful bodies.
And unexpressed feelings erupt in the rusty smelling air.

Smoke surrounds the jet black hellcat.
The same smoke that engulfed them when their eyes met.
The same smoke that came from their lips when they shared a cigarette.

Their once pounding hearts slow to a stop as they drift into the afterlife.
The same hearts that only beat for one another.
The same hearts that tore apart after every fallout.
The same hearts that synchronised when their bodies pressed against one another.

Sirens wail in the distance, slowly approaching the gruesome scene which is Tom and Taylor.
The unbroken lovers.
The indestructible couple.
The relationship that changed their lives till their very last breaths.

So as their minds stopped and their hearts pumped one last time, their souls reconnected by that glistening lake that reflects the stars which splatter across the endless jet black which is the night sky.
Where the wind is calm and the blossom trees blow gently in the soft breeze.
Where the swans dance in the cold water and the buzzards circle above the land.
Where the crickets create low toned music and the birds tweet from the trees.
