Chapter 5 - A Gift

Ren woke up early in the morning and headed into an unknown market outside the town. Inside the mysterious market, he went to a stall that sells mysterious materials.

"Good morning, sir. Do you have a nice sword?" Ren asked the seller.

"Yes I do. What do you need it for? It's rare to see a young man in this place."

"It's just a gift for a friend."

"Well, I have a powerful sword here that contains an enormous amount of magical powers. As far as I know this sword belongs to the-"

Ren interrupted the seller because he is in a hurry.

"Excuse me but can you just sell it to me? Sorry for being rude but I am in a rush."

"It's not a big deal. I just want to tell you some history behind it. Well, it costs 5 thousand dons."

Ren was stunned hearing the costs of the sword.

"5 thousand dons?! That's outrageous!"

"Kid. Take it or leave it?"

Ren takes a long sigh and thought. "I promised Axia that I will give him something today..."

In the end, Ren still bought the sword.

"Ok. I'll buy it."

Ren waited for a few minutes until he saw Axia in the distance.

"Axia! I'm here!"

Axia saw him under the oak tree while waving both of his hands.

Axia asked him. "So... What is the thing that you will give to me?

"Before I'll show it to you. Close your eyes."

"Ok. Fine."

Axia closed his eyes as Ren slowly showed the sword in front of him.

"Now! Open your eyes!"

Axia cannot believe what he just see in front of him

"A-a sword?! How can you buy something like that?! It looks glorious! You didn't steal this, did you?!"

The sword has a fine sharp blade and a silver-colored blade. Also, the arm is made with thick metal covered with rubber and designed with carving and a beautiful color scheme of black and white. Lastly, the house of the sword is made with thick wood and designed with the color scheme of the moon.

"Huh?! Why would you think that I stole this?! Nevermind! This is really for you!"

"Are you sure?!"

"I promised you yesterday that I will buy you something. So here it is."

Axia still couldn't believe that Ren actually bought it for him.

"T-thank you s-so much! I promise you that I will work hard mastering wielding this sword!"

Ren had a worried expression on his face. "But uhm..."

"Why? What's wrong?"

"I actually don't know how to properly use a sword. So I don't know how to teach you how to use it. The main purpose of the sword is to help you fight since you have zero magic."

"Don't worry about it! I will definitely learn how to properly use this!"

"Well... I'm looking forward to your success!"

While the two of them are talking, a voice from a distance calls Ren.

"Ren! How have you been in the past 1 year and more?!"

The person stops for a moment and thinks of something. "Wait... who is this guy on his side?"
