Chapter 16 - First Encounter

Their whole trip to the city takes them another 1 day to reach the city.

They were about to reach the main gate and they could already hear the busy people inside of it. Machines, chatterings, vehicles, and many more can be heard from the outside.

They already reached the main gate and numerous guards inspected their vehicles and they were asked what they were going to do inside the city.

"Good morning! Welcome to Tech City! Would you mind asking you what you are going to do inside the city?"

Hendrich answered the guard and Axia asked Floryn what was the purpose of identifying what they were going to do inside.

"Hey."

"What?"

"Why are they inspecting us?"

"Oh! This city is actually protected by the government! Well, this city has been invaded by numerous groups of people before and stole precious items that have been created by the people. So, the government decided to guard this city all the time!"

"I see."

"Oh! You are Mr. Hendrich Helial! Welcome!"

"You know me?!"

"Of course! Your name is well known in the city! You're famous for fixing and craftsmanship! Your inspection is done! Have a safe trip!"

They finally enter the city and Axia is amazed.

"Woah! I haven't seen anything like this before!"

"This is Tech City! Where me and my family live!"

"This place is so cool! It's like I'm in a different world!"

"But uhm, Mr. Axia?"

"Yes, sir?"

"What are you going to do in the city? So I will figure out where to drop you."

"In the office of the squads."

"Oh! There's actually one in this city and two near the royal palace! Strategy, Front Warriors, and Royal Guard! Which one?!"

"I'll check it, sir."

"Okay! We will drop you in the main building!"

"Really?! Thank you so much!"

"But if you want to check the one near the royal palace just go to the north part of the city. I cannot bring you there since I have a business that needs to be done."

"It's fine! I can go there myself!"

Hendrich dropped Axia in the main building.

Axia is now in front of an enormous building.

"This looks like an ordinary office building. Nothing special though from the outside. I can't see anyone from the inside despite having a lot of glass."

Axia enters the room and he sees that no one is inside. It's dead quiet and he can only hear his own breath and heartbeat.

"It feels so weird... Why is no one here?"

He starts to walk further and climbs the stairs. But he still remained on the same floor as he climbed up and down.

"Is this the correct building? I am in an infinite loop. Wait... this must be some kind of illusion spell..."

Axia draws his sword and prepares himself.

"I need to cut this dimension..."
