Chapter 31 - A Mission From Him

Daisuke, the Jurie City Representative, and sellers hold a meeting at a newly built hall in Jurie City. They are talking about the effects of the attack on the city and its business.

The Jurie City Representative is presenting data to them about the damage cost and losses of the city.

    “The damage costs around 1.5 million Dons and the total loss of money to earn is around 2 million Dons. The total loss is calculated from the destroyed products and disruption of the trading of both exportation and importation. Also, many traders and merchants have left the city due to massive destruction. They thought that they might not earn a lot of money from here, since there's only a few people coming. So they decided to go to another kingdom. As I said earlier, fewer people go in the city to buy jewelry and based on reports most of them go to Diagrynne Kingdom, which is our rival for selling high class jewelry. That's all.”

After her report, Daisuke speaks.

    "I understand the point of the traders and merchants of raw materials and jewelries. I think that they just didn't leave the city for that reason. They also fear being caught up in the possible war."

Daisuke calls the attention of the sellers.

    "Listen, we will talk to your highness and to other captains. We will resolve this issue as fast as we can. But we also need your help."

The female seller speaks.

    "What is it?"

    "I would like all of you to recall some of your customers. If some of them you find suspicious. Especially when many people from other kingdoms visit the city. There's a possibility that the robbery incidents are related to the attack of the monsters."

    "How are they related?"

    "I got the details of the incident from my teammates and they told me that one of the caught thieves was about to tell the truth behind all of it but suddenly the monsters appeared and killed them first. I think that a certain kingdom wants to overthrow our kingdom so they attacked one of our sources of power in money which is the Jurie City."

    "Do you have a kingdom in mind?"

    "Not yet. I will ask for help from someone. I think that's all, all of you may now leave."

All of them are about to stand up but one seller speakes up.

    "What about our livelihood?! We will lose money!"

    "Don't worry, all of you can still continue your livelihood. The city has been renovating fast. Also, the second son cooperated with other city governments to help this city get back on its feet. For the meantime, you can make new jewelry or save others that are not damaged too much to sell. I'm sure that many people will still come here. Remember, we are the number one marketplace in the jewelry industry."

After he talks, all of them leave and Daisuke returns to his room in the base.

He is changing clothes and suddenly someone knocks on his door.

The person knocks and calls his name.

    "Daisuke! Are you in your room?!"

Daisuke shouts.

    "Wait for a minute!"

After a few minutes, he finishes changing clothes and opens the door. The person behind the door is Metalion.

    "What is it?"

    "You're so cold as ice Daisuke."

Metalion said as he teased him.
