Chapter 11 - Koromi Island

The arena is made up of polished stones and designed with numerous windows and seats. The arena itself is not too large and can fit at least 10,000 people while the stage is barriered with shields since the exam will use magic.

All of them entered the arena and the one thousand examiners were seated, while the speaker was on the stage.

"Before I start, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Ushiro Raito, good afternoon dear examiners."

All of the people inside are speechless seeing in front of them the second son of the king.

"Are you kidding me?! The second son will lead this?!"

"No way!"

"So this is him?" Ren said.

Because of his reaction, Aerielle got pissed. "That's just you're going to say?! Look at him! A ruler of our kingdom! This is the mightiest dark short hair, tall, elegant! Ushiro!"

"You're a die-hard fan!"

"Why would the second son lead the entrance exam when the entrance exam is mostly handled by the Carbona family?" Axia thought.

He asked Zane about this.

"Shouldn't the Carbona family lead the entrance exam?"

"You're right. But I don't know why a royal handles this.

To break the commotion, the man in the front speaks up.

"Well, we are not conducting the exam here in the arena."

All of the people started to have a commotion about the sudden announcement.

"As you can see, the arena is broken. If we are still conducting the exam here, there would be a high possibility that this whole arena would collapse.

"Enough of this. Summon a portal now."

He ordered one of his men to open a portal.

Space Magic - 1st Phase: Portal

After creating a portal he told all of them to enter it and they were sent to an island.

"Woah! This island is so big! And there's houses!"

The island is green with numerous trees and plants. Also, it is not too rockey compared to other islands. The other side of the island is covered by mist.

The house is located at the northern part of the island.

"Why are we conducting an exam on this island?" Ren asked.

"Does it look like I know it?" Aerielle said.

"Do you have a death wish?!" Ren angrily said.

Because of the commotion of the two, Zane told them to be quiet. "That's enough! We're in a private place!"

Ushiro gathered them all in the middle to discuss something.

"This place is Koromi Island. The Carbona family owns it and they told us to do the exam here while they are going to renovate the arena."

One person raised her hand and Ushiro already guessed her question.

"If you're going to say where this place is and if this place cannot be found by any other person then this is my answer."

The woman lowered her hand down and Ushiro continued.

"This place is far away from the kingdom and it will take you 5 days to reach the kingdom if you're going to use a ship. Also, this place cannot be found by any other person since this place is hidden.

"Let's go back to our agenda. This place is rich with mana that's why this place is suitable for training. Today, I know that all of you are tired from the long journey just to arrive in the city. That's why, this afternoon, you can rest whenever you want and the exam will begin tomorrow morning at 7 am. If you want to eat, you can just pick fruit and vegetables, which are also high in mana. That's all. I wish you all the best for tomorrow."

After his announcement, he disappeared into the thin air.

"What are we going to do now?" Aerielle asked.

"Let's go to a house first. We need to put our things first. Look, there's a large house in the distance. I think all of us would fit there." Zane said.

All of them entered the large house and they started to explore its rooms.

"Can you imagine this house on an island?!"

"Also! There's a lot of it in here!"

"Yeah! Yeah! I have never seen this kind of house!"

Ren and Aerielle said.

"Quiet. Go to any room you want and store your things. Just be careful not to break anything. We are just resting here." Zane said.

The two storey large house is made with high end wood painted with white and brown, and has numerous rooms wherein the rooms on the first floor is hidden from the front view of the door and window, toilets, and it also has a balcony. Surprisingly, it is clean and has electricity.

Ren and Aerielle went to the second floor while Axia and Zane remained on the first floor unpacking their things.

Since all of them are busy and quiet, there's minimal noise that can be heard inside.

A little longer, a woman peeked through the window and didn't see anybody.

"Looks like no one's here... I've been searching for a vacant house and most of them are occupied by many people... I know that this house would be less likely to be occupied by someone since this is pretty far..."

The woman slowly entered the living room and closed the door. Suddenly, Axia got out of his room and both of their eyes met.

The woman panicked and shouted. "Ahh! I'm so sorry! I thought this room was unoccupied! I should take my leave!"

"No! Wait! It's okay!"

Because of the noise, Zane got out of his room and headed to the living room.

"Axia?! What happened?! Who's there?!"

As soon as Zane arrived, she saw the girl with a shocked expression and said, "Are you... Floryn?"

The girl is flustered seeing a friend she hasn't seen for a year

"Y-yes! It's me!"

"It's been a year!" He greeted her with a warm smile and waving hand gesture.
