Ginevra had been even more stressed than usual lately. She had been avoiding Nicco for a whole week since they'd slept together. She'd even gone as far as to stay at her own house so she didn't see him. Her dad had sort of lightened up on his drinking the past few days so it wasn't all that bad.

Even though she had enjoyed herself, maybe a little too much, she knew that what she had done was bad. He was her best friend's brother, not to mention he was dating Virginia. She had never done anything like this in her entire life and she felt horrible about it.

Ginevra walked through the hallway, stopping as she saw Virginia crying. Fear ran through her veins, could she have possibly found out about her and Niccolo?

"Hey," Cami said walking up behind her friend, "Haven't seen or heard from you much this past week, you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah. I've just been super busy," Ginevra said, her eyes still on Virginia, "Hey do you know what's wrong with Virginia?"

"My brother is an idiot. That's what's wrong," Cami said rolling her eyes.

"What do you mean?" Ginevra asked.

"Virginia found out he slept with somebody else," Cami said. Ginevra felt like she was going to throw up. How did Virginia find out? Did she know it was her who had slept with him? Clearly, Cami didn't know or she wouldn't be talking to her right now. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," Ginevra said snapping out of it, "Does she know who?"

"Not that I know of. But knowing Virginia she's going to find out," Cami said.

Ginevra could feel her eyes start to burn as she held back tears. This could not be happening. It was a mistake sleeping with Niccolo, no one was supposed to find out.

"You want to walk to class together?" Cami asked.

"I'm actually not feeling well all of a sudden," Ginevra said, "I think I'm gonna go get some fresh air."

"Are you all right? Do you want me to come with you?" Cami asked touching her friend's arm in concern.

"No. You go to class. I'll text you if I decide to go home or not," Ginevra said.

"I hope you feel better," Cami smiled before heading to class. Ginevra turned back to a crying Virginia. She hoped and prayed that she'd never find out that it was her that slept with Nicco.

Ginevra turned to walk outside when she ran into someone. She looked up meeting the eyes she'd been avoiding all week. As if she already didn't feel sick to her stomach, running into him only made it worse.

"We need to talk," Nicco said.

"Leave me alone Nicco," Ginevra said pushing past the boy.

"Ginevra," Nicco said walking after her, "You can't just keep ignoring me."

"I think I've done a pretty good job so far," Ginevra said continuing to walk. She shoved the door to the school open hoping Nicco would stop following her. She looked around to make sure no one was around and then closed her eye and took a deep breath of the fresh air. The partial relief she felt soon went away when she heard the door open behind her.

"Ginevra," Nicco said. She opened her eyes turning around to face the boy.

"What do you want?" Ginevra asked.

"We need to talk," Nicco said.

"About what exactly?" Ginevra asked.

"Oh I don't know maybe about the fact that we slept together and you've been ignoring me for a week," Nicco huffed.

"There's nothing to talk about," Ginevra said crossing her arms and turning away from the boy. Silence fell over the two as Ginevra once again tried not to cry. "How did Virginia find out?"

"She might have overheard Brando and I talking about it," Nicco said. Her sadness quickly turned to rage as she turned to face Nicco.

"You told Brando!" Ginevra yelled shoving at the boy's chest.

"He's my best friend," Nicco defended.

"And Cami and Chiara are mine but you don't see me running to tell them about it," Ginevra said.

"That's because Cami is my sister and she'd hate both of us if she ever found out," Nicco said.

"And yet you told Brando," Ginevra huffed, "Are you forgetting about that video that he leaked that ruined his own girlfriend's life?!"

"He won't tell anybody," Nicco said taking a step toward the girl so that he was right in front of her.

"How do you know that for sure?" Ginevra asked.

"I just do okay. I trust him," Nicco said.

"Yeah well I don't," Ginevra said, "And it wasn't only your secret to tell."

"I'm sorry, okay. If I would have known it was going to cause a fight between us I wouldn't have said anything," Nicco said reaching out and grabbing her hand. Ginevra pulled her hand away from Nicco and walked over leaning against the wall with her back to him. Nicco sighed before walking to stand beside her. "Come on Vera, don't be like that. I'm sorry."

He reached out and grabbed her hand again, this time she didn't pull away. "Do you regret it?" Nicco asked.

Ginevra thought about that question. Did she regret it? It was kind of a complicated question. She didn't regret sleeping with Nicco. She did however regret sleeping with her best friend's brother who also has a girlfriend. She turned to look at Nicco, leaning her back against the wall behind her. He rubbed his thumb across the back of her hand. "Because I don't regret sleeping with you," Nicco added.

"I don't like having to keep the secret. And I don't like that Virginia got hurt in the process," Ginevra said.

"But do you regret it?" Nicco asked cupping her right cheek.

Ginevra bit her lower lip as she looked into his eyes. Those eyes that held so many different emotions. She could honestly get lost in them. "No," Ginevra said.

A small smile tugged at Nicco's lips, "I'm glad."

Nicco slowly leaned forward. She knew that she should stop him. They were at school, anyone could walk outside and see them. As soon as his lips touched hers all of those thoughts disappear. It's like they were the only two people on earth, no one else mattered.
