Ginevra walked through the halls. She was nervous knowing that today was the day they were posting who had gotten chosen to go to America. Even though she knew her name wasn't going to be on the list, Cami didn't. Not like that really mattered, she hadn't talked to her in about two weeks.

She walked up to the bulletin board and saw Cami standing in front of the paper. She pulled in a deep breath through her nose before walking up behind the girl. Her eyes briefly scanned the paper even though she knew her name wouldn't be on it. A small smile tugged at the corner of her mouth when she saw Cami and Chiara's names on the list. She looked at Cami who had yet to notice she was there. "Congratulations," Ginevra smiled.

Cami turned around not expecting her friend to be there. "Oh uh. Thanks," Cami said. Ginevra sent the girl a tightlipped smile. Even though they weren't on talking terms, Ginevra was happy for Cami. She knew she had been waiting for this opportunity.

"Sorry you didn't get chosen," Cami said. Ginevra was surprised that she had said sorry to her.

"Oh, it's all right," Ginevra said, "You and Chiara are going to have fun in America."

"Yeah but it won't be the same without you," Cami said.

"I doubt it would have been any fun at the moment anyway," Ginevra said, "Since we aren't exactly talking at the moment." Cami opened her mouth to say something but shut it again. The air between the two girls grew awkward. "Well, I'm gonna head out. Congratulations again."

Ginevra turned to walk away from Cami but stopped herself. She turned to face her friend, "I am sorry by the way. What I did was wrong and I never meant for you to find out that way." Before Cami could say anything Ginevra had turned and walked away from the girl. She wasn't apologizing to get a response, she just wanted her friend to know she was sorry.

As Ginevra was walking down the hallway she felt someone tug at her arm pulling her into an empty classroom. Her shocked face quickly turned into a scowl as she saw the person standing in front of her. "Leave me alone Niccolo," Ginevra said pulling her wrist out of his grasp as she turned to walk away.

"Ginevra wait," Nicco said catching her arm, "Please just listen to me."

Ginevra turned to the boy in front of her crossing her arm. She had been ignoring him for two weeks. He had been texting her but she refused to answer, "You have two minutes."

"Ginevra," Nicco huffed.

"Shall I make it one?" Ginevra asked raising her brow.

"No," Nicco said going wide-eyed, "First I just want to say I'm sorry, I know it's my fault that everyone found out. It wasn't just my secret and I shouldn't have told Brando. I really thought that he wouldn't tell anyone."

"Well we see how that all worked out," Ginevra said rolling her eyes.

"I'm sorry," Nicco said, "I should have listened to you."

"Damn right, you should have listened to me! I lost almost everyone because of this. And what did you lose?" Ginevra ranted, "Nothing. You still have your sister and your friends. Hell, you even still have your girlfriend." Ginevra couldn't deny that's what pissed her off the most about this whole situation. She and Nicco both had done wrong but it felt like she was the only one getting punished for it.

"You still have me," Nicco said taking a step toward the girl. Ginevra instinctively took a step back, her back hitting the wall behind her. She could see the hurt that washed over Nicco's face.

"But I don't," Ginevra said, "No matter what you say this won't work. Your sister hates me now, today is the first time in two weeks she's talked to me. And you're still with Virginia. I'm not going to help you continue to ruin your relationship with her. I don't ever want to see you again." As soon as the world left her mouth she saw the hurt and sadness in Nicco's eyes turn to fire.

"You obviously didn't care about your friendship with Cami or my relationship with Virginia the first time you slept with me," Nicco spat taking a step toward the girl so that his lips were right by her ear, "All you cared about that night was yourself. You're selfish Ginevra...and a whore too." Ginevra put her hands on Niccos chest shoving him away from her. The smirk on his lips only fired her up more.

"Fuck you, Niccolo!" Ginevra murmured.

"My girlfriend already does that," Nicco smirked. Ginevra sent him one last glare before she stormed out of the classroom leaving Nicco there by himself. She quickly made her way down the hall and into a bathroom stall. Her breathing started to get heavy again.

"Just breath," she whispered to herself. She tried claiming her breaths but they only continued. She frantically searched her mind for a coping mechanism when her interaction with Damiano the other day popped into her head.

"Three things you can see. The door, my hands, my skirt," she whispered to herself, "Three things you can hear. My breathing, water running, the door opening. Move three body parts." Ginevra closed her eyes while she wiggled her toes and her fingers while tilting her neck from side to side.

Her eyes shot open and her breathing was starting to slow down to a normal pace. She needed to get control over these panic attacks. They hadn't been this regular since her mom passed, and then she didn't really try to find anything to help her cope with them. She also needed to thank Damiano the next time she saw him. So much was running through her brain the other day when he'd helped her that it hadn't even crossed her mind, and she hadn't seen him around to tell him after.
