After Paul and I spoke to each other outside of the Cullen home I walked inside to grab Savannah's carseat and bag. Edward stops me before I can walk out of the room to go home. "What did you decide?"

"Edward, I haven't completely decided yet, but my heart strings are leading me to stick beside the family that I made." I say as I place Savannah into her carseat. Once she's buckled in I turn to face Edward who's giving me an understanding smile.

"Be careful." He responds when I expected him to lash out at my decision. I smile at him and walk into his open arms. He hugs me gently, mindful of my delicate human bones. "You'll always have a home here."

"Thank you Edward." I sigh against his chest. I pull away after a second and smile when he picks up Savannah's carseat effortlessly. He leads us out the door and to my car that is crunk. I turn to find Carlisle walking away and back into the house. "I'll be back. I don't know when but I will be."

"Don't rush. Do what you have to do for your family before you worry about ours."

After we say our final goodbyes I climb into the driver's seat of the car and drive to my home where Paul waits patiently.

~Lahoot Home~

When I walk into the house with Savannah in my arms I'm welcomed to the warm smell of coffee. I smile at the welcoming smell.  As I walk into the living room to place Savannah onto her blanket so she'll be occupied while Paul and I talk abut the world events happening around us.

"Coffee?" Paul offers when I enter the kitchen.

"Please." I say with a smile and take the warm beverage from his hands. I take a sip and sigh when the taste hits my taste buds. He watches me silently with the hint of a smile on his lips.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about what was happening." Paul says breaking the silence. I look up from the cup in my hands to look at his face. "I don't have a good enough reason to justify my actions. I just didn't wanna risk losing you or Savvy."

I place the cup on the counter in front of me before I get up to walk around the island to stand in front of him. "Paul, you are an idiot." He sighs and looks down away from my eyes. I place my hand on his face. "I could never leave you." I watch as his shoulders fall.

"But Sam wants to kill the baby." He whispers tears forming in his eyes. "He won't listen to anyone in the pack. I've tried so hard to make him back down, but he doesn't listen."

"Then leave the pack." I whisper he shakes his head like the thought pains him.

"Sam's not just my alpha he's my brother Grace. It might've been easy for Jake, Leah, and Seth to leave but I can't." Paul responds. "Sam was there for me when I had no one. Before I met you he was my family."

After a few moments of silence I respond. "I understand." He looks up shocked. "I'm not gonna make you choose between vampires and wolves. I'd never ask that of you. But you can't keep me from going to the Cullens."

He nods not arguing even though I know he wants to. Paul looks at me as the air shifts between us and wraps his arms around my waist. I smile at him softly and squeal when he picks me up to place me on the counter.

I wrap my legs around his waist and loosely wrap my arms around his neck. "What's going through your head wolf boy?"

"Oh I think you know." He whispers leaning in to catch my lips in a kiss. I smile against his mouth and pull him in closer with my legs. The kiss grows more passionate and before more can happen a wolf howls in the distance. "Fuck."

I sigh when he leans his forehead against mine. "Duty calls." I whisper.

"We'll continue this when I get back." Another howl rings closer to our home.

"Go before the wake Sav." I speak too soon as Savannah cries. I groan and he kisses me with a smile after he helps me into my feet. He slaps my butt as we part ways. I give him a flirtatious look which causes him to smile as he walks through the door. "Be careful."

"Yes ma'am." He says as he closes the door. I walk to the window to watch him phase into his wolf form. Savannah cries impatiently from her room calling me back into "mommy mode".
