His Saving Grace

It's the next day. I decided to finish school homeschooling. I'm officially a werewolf girl. I help Emily as much as possible. We switch it up and take turns with cooking for the pack.

I'm currently making spaghetti while Paul, Jared, and Sam are patrolling. My phone goes off while I'm sitting on the counter drinking a glass of water.

"Hey Paul."

"Bella's missing." Paul says.

"What do you mean?"

"She went missing after Cullen left. I'm gonna come get you and take you to Charlie's house. So when she is found you can calm her down."

"Ok. I'm ready." I say before hanging up. I throw on a pair of converse and grab a jacket. Paul's truck horn is sounded from outside. I turn all the burners off and walk outside. "Ok. Let's go."

He laces his fingers through mine. I place our hands in my lap and trace a finger over his veins.

When we pull up to the Swan house I climb out and follow him to Sam. "Gracie stay here with Charlie. Paul come on."

Paul kisses my forehead then walks into the woods. I walk towards Charlie and smile at him. "Where's your family?" He asks when I make it over.

"They left. I don't know what Edward said to Bella but I don't think it was an easy break. He wasn't easy on me when they told me they were moving." I say crossing my arms across my chest.

"Thanks for being here Grace." He says wrapping an arm around my shoulders. "Billy this is Grace Cullen. Grace this is Billy Black and his son Jacob."

"A Cullen?" Billy asks confused.

"I was the newest." I say smiling a small smile. His eyes widen when he realizes who I am. He holds his hand out to me which I shake.

"And Harry Clearwater." I smile at him.

"You're Sue Clearwater's husband?" I ask with a smile. He nods his head with a smile. "I knew you looked familiar."

"You must know his kids." Charlie says.

"Oh yes. Leah and Seth are great friends of mine." I say smiling.

"Glad to know." I turn around when i hear footsteps. Paul waves me over.

"Excuse me." I say to the men then walk to Paul. "What's going on?"

"Sam found her. He's on his way with her." He says pulling me into his arms. Sam walks out with Bella in his arms.

"Is she ok?" I ask looking at the girl. Bella perks up and looks at me. "Hey Bella."

"You're here?" She asks while trying to smile.

"They left me too Bells." I say running my fingers through her hair.

"Bella!" Charlie's voice yells while he runs to her.

"I got her Chief." Sam says trying to walk Bella into the house.

I look towards Jacob who's staring at Sam, Paul, and Jared. "Thank you for your help." Charlie says.

"Gracie." Bella calls for me when she walks away.

"I'll leave my truck. I'll ride home with Sam. You stay here and make sure she's ok." Paul says before kissing my forehead.

"Ok. I have supper almost ready."

"Emily will go by and finish it." Sam says coming up. "Go check on Bella."

I smile at the two of them then follow Charlie into the house. "Where's Grace?" Bella's voice asks.

"I'm right here Bells." I say crouching down beside her. She sits up and pulls me into a hug. "It's gonna be ok."

"He said he didn't want me anymore." She sobs into my shoulder.

"He said the same to me." I whisper in her ear. We both hug each other while crying silently. "It's gonna be ok. We are gonna make it through this Bella, I promise."

I say while pulling away. I push her hair out of her face and whip the tear stains off of her cheeks. "You're gonna be ok Bella. I'm gonna start a hot bath up ok? And you're gonna relax wash all the dirt and grim from the forest off and when you're done I'm gonna have a glass of hot chocolate made." I stand up and pull her with me. "Come on Bella."

Charlie smiles gratefully at me while Jacob and Billy watch Bella sadly. I walk Bella into the bathroom and sit her on the toilet lid. "Are you ok?"

"No." She whispers. "He said that I wasn't good enough for him anymore."

"What can I do to keep your mind of off it?" I say starting the water up and grabbing a lavender bubble bath.

"I don't know what can keep my mind off of it." She says looking at her hands.

"Would a book help?" I ask turning to her after I finished with the bubble bath.

"Maybe. But it won't help at night." She says looking at me.

"I know." I say biting my fingernail.

"Why did they leave you?" Bella asks.

"Because I'm human. He said that he didn't ask for a human in the house so I told him he wouldn't have one." I say with a shrug. She closes her eyes. "Ok enough of the sappy. Get undressed and get into the bath."

I walk out of the bathroom and close the door. I walk downstairs to find Charlie, Billy, Jacob, and Harry talking. Charlie faces me when I walk in.

"Is she ok?" Charlie asks. I nod my head with a small smile.

"She will be for now. I don't know completely on what he told her but I know it broke her pretty badly. She's gonna need a lot of things to keep her mind off of it." I say pushing a strand of hair out of my face.

"Thank you for being here with her. It means a lot." Charlie says with a tired smile.

"Anytime." I say smiling.

"Here Grace. Paul told me to give this to you." Harry says handing me Paul's truck keys.

"Oh thanks." I say taking them and placing them in my jacket pocket.

"Who are you staying with Grace?" Billy asks turning to me.

"Paul. He let me move in once I found out that they were leaving." I say looking at him. He nods his head. Bella's footsteps are coming down the stairs after a few minutes of the men talking. I turn to face her with a gentle smile on my face. "Feeling better?"

She nods her head with a smile. "What about that hot chocolate?" I smile then go to make it.

After a few minutes of Bella and I making small talk she yawns. "You can go home Gracie. I'll be fine."

"You sure?" She nods her head. "Call me if you need anything Bella."

She hugs me tightly then walks upstairs to her room. "Be careful Grace." Charlie says when he walks me to the door.

"I will. If you need anything. Just give me a call." I say turning to him. He nods his head with a smile. I walk to Paul's truck then drive home.
