It's a few weeks since we found out the gender and I'm super close to giving birth. I've had to give my wolf girl responsibilities back to Emily until I give birth but our home is always open to the wolves and imprints.
Paul has tried everything he can to be with me but with Victoria showing up more he's been having to patrol more. I'm currently at Emily's helping her bake muffins while the pack are relaxing after a night of trying to catch Victoria again. There's an engine turning off in the driveway and the pack run out to welcome Jake home.
I roll my eyes at them. "Maybe I should call Bella and hang up." Paul's voice says. I stand up and wobble outside behind Sam and Emily. Sam helps me down the tiny step by the door and Paul helps me down the two steps to the dirt.
"Bella! I was wondering when we would see your face around here again." Emily says walking to Bella and hugging her. I lean into Paul while his arm is wrapped around my waist. Bella smiles at me which I return.
"Sam we good?" Jake asks with a gentle smile.
"Yeah. She won't be getting on our land anytime soon." The boys cheer before running off. Paul looks towards them but doesn't move.
"You can go. I'm just gonna head home and get off my feet." I say looking at my boyfriend. He kisses my cheek with a smile.
"I won't be gone long." I nod my head then wobble to my new car. Jake helps me in. "Thanks Jake."
"Anytime Gracie." He says before closing the door. I start the engine and drive home. I walk into my home and walk straight to our baby room. I sit down in the rocking chair and look around.
I run my hand along my stomach and just think of when I get to hold her close to me. I hear the door open and close after a few hours when I'm in the kitchen eating a salad. Paul walks in and kisses my cheek softly.
"How was your day?" He asks walking to the fridge and grabbing a water bottle.
"It was good. Baby girl's been a busy body today." I say with a smile. He chuckles and kisses my cheek again.
"I'm glad." I smile at him.
"How was your day?" I ask facing him.
"It was good. Oh we have to go to a bonfire in a few minutes." I nod my head.
"I'm gonna go change then." I say kissing his lips then walking to our closet. I put on a pair of ripped jeans, a grey T-shirt and cardigan, with slip on shoes. I pull my hair in a bun. Cause I don't feel like curling or straightening it.
I do light natural makeup then follow Paul to his truck. We pull up to Jake's home where some of the pack is already talking with the council leaders. Paul helps me out of his truck and we walk to Sam and Emily.
"I'm gonna go get something to eat. You want something?" Paul says rubbing my back. I shake my head no.
"No I'm good." I say smiling.
"Ok." He kisses my cheek then walks to the food table where his packmates are talking.
"How many more weeks Grace?" Billy asks. I turn to him with a smile.
"Three more hopefully." I say with a gentle smile.
"Can't wait to have another Lahote in the family." Sue says walking up with a smile. "I'm ready to meet your daughter."
"Me too." Paul says coming up with an empty plate. I smile at him and look towards the truck that's pulled up. Bella and Jake climb out as Seth walks to them with a bright smile.
"I'm gonna sit down." I say smiling at Billy and Sue. I wave at Bella when she walks up then sit down on a log in between Paul and Jared. I lay my head on Paul's shoulder and rest a hand against the baby.
Bella and Jake take a seat around the fire when Billy starts to tell the legends. Billy tells of the third wife and how she used courage to help a shapeshifter kill a vampire that was causing destruction in the town. After Billy finishes with the Paul helps them clean up the mess.
"How are you?" Bella asks when Jake helps me stand.
"I'm well. Ready for this wild girl to come." I say smiling. She nods her head with a gentle smile.
"Edward says that you should come see us." Bella says when Paul runs up.
"I'll try."
"Let's go home." I smile and take his hand.
"I'll see you soon." I say turning to Bella and Jake. They nod their heads.
"Can I come over after I drop Bella off?" Jake whispers in my ear. I look at him and nod.
"Of course." I turn to Paul who nods his head. "I'll have muffins waiting on you."
"See you there."
