"Alice!" I yell trying to get someone to help me get dressed. It's been a few months since the accident and today is Bella's birthday. Alice walks in with a smile.
"Ready?" She asks. I nod my head and wheel myself into my closet. Alice hands me my outfit I picked out and helps me with my pants and shoes.
"Thank you." I say smiling.
"Of course." She says smiling back then leaving the room. I put my white Gryffindor sweatshirt on. Then wheel myself to the end of the staircases where my backpack is.
The family moved me down to the bottom floor to make it easier on moving around in the wheel chair. "Let's go to school." Edward says pushing me to his car. "You will be there tonight right?"
"I told Alice I would." I say when he helps me into the front seat. He nods his head and places my wheel chair in the trunk then drives us to school. I break the silence when we drive into the parking lot. "Paul's coming tonight though. We are gonna watch a movie."
"Ok." He says with a small forced smile.
Forks High School...
We park in the school parking lot. "You think I could try standing up while you get the wheel chair?"
"I don't know Grace." He says before climbing out. I unbuckle myself and open the door. I swing my legs over and try to climb out. I take a deep breath when I cling to the door for dear life and pull myself up.
I take in a deep breath and smile when I stand up against the car. I look to find Edward smiling. "Ok now Grace time to sit."
I sigh then sit down in the chair. I wheel myself to Bella who's waiting for us.
"I saw you standing." She says smiling.
"Yeah. I shouldn't have. My legs are hurting." I say sighing.
"You're feeling though." She says. I shrug with a smile.
"I know you said you didn't want anything for your birthday but I don't care so here." I hand her a key chain with the family crest on it. "I know you'll eventually become apart of the family so. Plus this is just part of it."
She smiles at me then adds it to her keys. "Thank you Grace. It's beautiful. I love it."
"Jared and Paul made it." I say wheeling myself around her when Edward joins is. "I'll see you in class."
She smiles as me when I wheel past her and up the ramp. I smile excitedly knowing I can get up the ramp alone. Eric points me out to Angela when I roll up to them.
"I hope you don't mind me hanging with you." I say braking the wheel chair.
"Of course not." Angela says with a smile. They go back to the conversation they were having about the Romeo and Juliet essay we had to do. I text Paul until the bell rings.
