Jake freezes upon making eye contact with Savannah's brown eyes. Paul looks at Jake in complete shock. When Jake looks up from Savannah's eyes he looks at us in panic.

"I didn't mean to!" He says panicky. Paul closes his eyes as he begins to shake uncontrollably.

"Paul?" I say placing my hands on his face. He visibly calms down and opens his eyes to look into mine. "It's gonna be okay. He didn't plan this. If he could have imprinted by choice he'd have done it on Bella."

"I know." He whispers. "She's just three days old though."

"I know and it could just be easier for us to protect her and it automatically makes him a babysitter." He nods his head before laying his forehead against mine.

"Jake you should be glad you have my daughter in your hands and Grace is here or I'd beat your ass." Paul says with a glare. Jake nods his head with a worried expression. "And be glad Grace would beat my ass if I beat yours. All I expect from you is to protect her over anybody. Don't ever put her second."

"I won't." Jake says nodding his head. I take Savannah from his arms. He frowns at me which I smile at.

"Sorry Jake, but I'm exhausted and need real food." I say smiling. He nods his head understandingly before laying back down.

"Thanks for coming by." He says with a smile as bright as the sun.

"Just get better." I say running my fingers through his hair before leaving. I kiss Billy's cheek when I walk past and then go home.

"You think it's gonna be weird?" I ask Paul when we get into the truck and on our way home. He looks at me confused. "Jake imprinting on Savannah? And being parents?"

"Jake imprinting is gonna be weird, but we know he won't have sexual feelings for her until she's way of age. And he won't age until he stops phasing. And being parents hasn't been weird yet and we've done it for just a few days. I think it will just be different." He says placing his hand on my thigh as he drives. I nod my head and bite my nail.

"You know I have to go see my other family." I say bringing up the topic neither of us want to talk about. His grip on the steering wheel tightens until his knuckles turn white. "Paul they have to at least meet her."

"Let's talk about this when we get home." He says between clenched teeth.

"Fine, but we are talking about it." I say leaning away from him and turning around to check on Savannah. He pulls into the driveway of our home as Savannah starts to cry. "We are almost home sweetness."

I take her out of her carrier and walk her into the house. "Welcome home my beautiful girl." I whisper to her as I rock her slightly. "Let's go get you fed."

I walk away from Paul who walks into the house and sighs when I don't look back at him. I walk into her nursery and turn on the lights before walking to the rocking chair and getting ready to breastfeed her.
