It's two days before the battle and I have one last appointment with Carlisle for the baby before I give birth. I smile at Carlisle when I walk into the room.

"You ready to see baby Lahote?" He asks with a smile. I nod my head and lay back on the hospital bed. Carlisle does the process with the ultrasound and I smile when I see my fully formed baby girl.

Carlisle whips the gel off and helps me sit up. "Ok so you should be ready to give birth on the assigned day. But I won't be there for reasons you know of. I'll have another doctor I trust help assist you during your birth. Do you have any questions?" Carlisle asks with his professional face on.

"No I'm good." I say standing up with a smile. "Thanks Carlisle. Too bad you won't get to be there Carlisle. I've always thought you would be there for my baby's birth like you were the for mine."

"I wish I could be there Grace. I wanna spend time with Esme before the battle." He says leading me out. "Also be here early that morning so they can get started. Call if you have an complications."

"I will." I say smiling. I sign the sheet up at the front then drive home. Paul was put on patrol. He was pretty pissed that Sam wouldn't even let him come to the last doctor appointment.

Sam has been a pain in the ass with all of this and he still won't budge. When I make it home Paul is walking in.

"How was it?" He asks walking to me.

"It was good. I should be all set to give birth." I say hugging him as best as I can. He places his head in my hair and gets my scent memorized into his brain.

"I wish I could be there so bad." He says sighing.

"I wish you could be there too." I say tears forming in my eyes. He looks at me and whip the tears that fell.

"When that battle is over I'm gonna be by your side as soon as the last vampire is dead. I promise." He says kissing my lips. "I have to leave soon to meet up with the pack." He says with an eye roll.

"You have to come back to me in one piece ok? Emily, Kim, and Sue are coming with me to the hospital." I say placing my hands on his cheeks. "Savannah needs her daddy in one piece."

"I'll be here for Savannah and my beautiful Grace." He says kissing my lips.

"Paul! Let's go mate!" Jared says walking in. "Oops! Sorry. I'll just wait outside."

I laugh at him and shake my head. I turn to Paul with a smile. "I'll be safe." He says kissing me again.

"You better be." I say smiling. He smiles then walks towards the door.

"Keep your doors and windows locked. I'll be home later tonight to sleep and then leave when you do." I nod my head and walk to the door. I look at Jared and smile.

"Be safe Jared." I say smiling leaning against the doorframe.

"I will." He says smiling. They wave at me then phase before they make it to the tree line. I watch them until I can't see them through the trees before closing the door and locking it.

I walk into Savannah's room and get her baby bag along with my doctor bag and place them by the door. I walk back into Savannah's room and look around.

"Well babygirl I guess your soon to make your grand arrival." I say to my daughter. "Just wish daddy could be there."

I hear a knock at the door. I turn the lights off in Savannah's room and walk to the door to find Kim, Emily, and Sue waiting with smiles. I walk to it and unlock the door to let them in.

"Hey! What are you guys doing here? I thought you were coming tomorrow morning?" I ask smiling.

"We couldn't leave you alone while Sam was being a pain." Emily says with a frown. "I understand he's been frustrating. He's aggravated me as much as you and Paul."

"And we wouldn't miss this for the world!" Sue says. "It's your last night before having a baby. It can be very stressful."

"Yeah and we thought we could make it a girls night." Kim says hugging me.

"Well let's get you guys settled." I say turning on the guest bedrooms light.

"I'll sleep on the couch. Emily, Sue, you two take the bed." Kim says. I smile rubbing circles around my stomach.

I let the girls get settled in and start on cups of hot chocolate and start making the snacks for the night.

The rest of the night is spent with laughs, food, and chick flicks.

After I've climb in bed after taking a quick shower Paul walks into the bedroom. He looks at me and smiles.

"You're still awake?" He asks before yawning.

"Yeah. Kim, Sue, and Emily just went to sleep." I say smiling. "I just got out of the shower so I won't have to tomorrow."

"I'm glad you'll have some comfort there. I think it's a little unfair Carlisle won't even be there." He says rolling his eyes. "Also Edward isn't even going to be fighting. He's going up into the hiding place with Bella."

"Really?" I ask shocked. He nods his head with another eye roll. "Typical."

"Yeah. Jake's kinda hurt she didn't ask for him to sit out, but he didn't voice it when I came in. Jared said he was too scared being as Sam won't even let me stay out for my imprint."

"I would have been majorly pissed off with Sam if he would have let Jake stay with Bella and you not be able to after all the arguments we had with Sam."

"Yeah well you don't need to stress. You need to get in bed and I need a quick shower. Lay down and I'll come cuddle until we have to wake back in the morning."

I nod my head. He walks up and kisses my forehead before going into the bathroom to shower. I lay back in bed and try to get comfortable when another round of contractions start up.

Ok so if you're confused. Grace got pregnant around December and November during the time Bella was depressed. I didn't write about the depression stages of Bella because it was just a boring thing for me throughout the book and movies. So I just wanted to clear that for anyone that was confused.

I love the Paul and Grace moments. And it breaks my heart that Paul won't be able to be there for the delivery of the baby.
