"Um, excuse me." A voice came. "Can I join you?"

I nodded, mumbling an unintelligible answer without looking at the source of the voice.

"Oh, it's you." The same voice came again. "Rosa's heartbeat."

Now that was familiar and it got me to stop what I was doing and give attention to this person who seem to know me.

You're becoming popular, girl.

I kept my phone aside and turned to face him only to be greeted by a megawatt smile and man, was he pretty.

"Wait," he raised his hands stopping me from talking. "I'm trying to get your name." He said.

As you probably know, I'm a sucker for handsome guys. I won't see one and not acknowledge their beauty -they just give me the energy to work the day. So, while I'm still trying to remember who he is, I've got to admit that he looked adorable in his oversized hoodie and he also gave off a very familiar vibe.

"Ugh." He muttered, bouncing his legs like a little whining child. "Why can't I remember your name?"

Looking at him made me realise that I in fact knew him -the green eyes and matching neon green hair. His name was... Max. We've met before once outside of Genesis restaurant.

How could you have forgotten him who made Rosa smile so hard without even trying? Inner Kiara commented, and I snorted a quiet laugh.

"Um, I think you need a little help," I stated, softly with a gentle smile.

He threw a glance at me, shaking his head in disagreement.

"Now, what was it again?" He muttered, his brow furrowed in top concentration.

I giggled as I watched him try so hard to remember my name without any assistance. It was funny how he was working himself up to remember.

"Such persistence." I giggled.

"Sarcasm." He snorted, staring at the court where Richard and Adrian were still playing with Ian watching from the sidelines.

He eventually let out a sigh and slumped his shoulders as though he had given up. He looked so lost like a puppy, I couldn't help but smile.

Let's help him out, shall we?

Just as I opened my mouth to speak, he sprang up and snapped his fingers. "Kiara." He beamed.

"Yes," I answered, smiling.

"Yay!!" He exclaimed, doing a fist pump. "I told ya I'd remember your name, isn't it?"

I replied with a nod. "And you look really happy like you've gotten an achievement."

"Of course, I have." He smiled and sat down, crossing his legs.

"I like your persistence though," I stated, turning my gaze back to the game.

"Why, thank you." He flashed a smile. "How's Rosa?"

"Oh, she is fine."

He nodded, watching the game. "I hear she's out of town."

I blinked. "Yeah, she is but she'll be back by today." I stole a glance at the time on my phone. "She should be home by now," I mumbled, softly.

He turned to me and with a small smile, he replied.

"Then I can talk about her without her breathing on my neck."

That elicited a short laugh out of me considering I understood what he meant and it was the second time in a row I was hearing this statement.

"Not you too." I laughed.
