As I continued watching the happenings on the set, I observed a movement from the corner of my eye and turned in that direction to see the cause –and it was Luka, he was walking towards us with the lady from earlier although she stopped and walked in another direction.
I wouldn't mince words, but this Luka guy seemed like he was born for the runway and the cameras. He looked beautiful and walked majestically just like a pro. I wonder how long he had been in the industry.
It's just a few buttons away.
"You're back," Ian muttered.
I blinked at him. Uh? How did he know that with his eyes closed?
Darling, there's something called scent. Inner Kiara stated. Perfume, just in case you don't understand, he's wearing one.
I rolled my eyes, inwardly. I'm not dumb.
Yeah, you're not.
"Yes." He stood over Ian, smiling as he searched his face. "Are you sleeping?"
"No, I'm not." His eyelids fluttered and opened revealing those beautiful pair of eyes. "I was just in my thoughts." He replied. "Were you able to resolve the issue?"
"Nope." Luka exhaled and folded his arms. "Looks like, I have to be here again tomorrow. The shoot was postponed till tomorrow and it's going to be an outdoor shoot." He looked away for a split second. "I really don't want to be here again tomorrow but it seems like I have no choice but to be." He shrugged.
I looked at him, he had an expression similar to that of a lost puppy. "Sorry, you just have to bear it."
He let out a few blinks and turned at my voice, doing a double take as his eyes met mine. "Has she been here all this while?" He pointed to me.
Oh yeah well, now, I'm invisible. How sweet!!
"Yes, she has," Ian replied, stretching in his seat. "You were just so into that game that you failed to notice the happenings around you."
He nodded, eyeing me warily. "Who's she?" He dared to ask.
"She's my manager."
Yeah, fellas for the second time today, he has called me his manager. Hah... I feel so.. Elated.
"Your manager?" He furrowed his brows. "I thought I saw you with Adrian."
Ian gave a nod, humming his response.
He held his confused frown for a while, staring at Ian as if the answer was on his face. "Ah," his eyes lit up in remembrance. "It's that time of the year."
Ian looked up at him and smiled. "Yeah, that time of the year."
Okay now, it's my turn to get confused. What the hell are they talking about? What time of the year? Am I safe?
I stared at both of them, confusion written on my face.
Luka looked at me and smiled. "Hi, I'm Luka." He stretched his hand for a handshake.
"Hi, I'm Kiara." I smiled back as we exchanged handshakes and I must say, his grip was firm.
"Such a nice name." He remarked –yeah, I've been told. "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too."
He shook his head and went to his seat, staring at the stage where the shootings had begun. "I thought I'd be able to visit school tomorrow." He sighed. "But seems that plan has been thwarted."
Ian shot him a look, chuckling softly. "Aren't you rounding up soon?"
He perked up at that. "Yes," he faced Ian with a smile. "And I can't wait for that to happen. Hah," he sighed dramatically. "I'm so tired of having girls look at me like I'm a piece of cake." He shuddered at the thought. "I don't know, I just can't get used to it. It's scary."
