Waiting for the Dawn (Fontana brothers series 1) [Unedited]

Prologue

"Saan ka na mag-aaral?" I asked Dusk, she's one of my best friends. I have two best friend's and it's Dusk and Cereus. Sabi ni Dusk ay sa malayo na s'ya mag-aaral. Nasa ilalim kami ngayon ng isang puno, nag-uusap.

"Hindi ko rin alam eh, ang sabi lang nila Auntie ay sa malayo na raw ako mag-aaral," she said, sadly. "Nasabi mo na ba Kay Cereus?" I asked her. She nod her head before looking away.

"Ayaw ko sanang umalis, kaso nagagalit si Auntie kapag sinasabi ko na ayaw ko. Kailangan ko raw umalis at mag-aral sa malayo," she stared into my eyes.

"Babalik ka naman, 'di ba Dusk?" I asked, pinipigilan ko talaga na tumulo ang aking luha.

"Babalik ako, syempre ako pa!" Dusk cheerfully said.

"Aalis na ako bukas, si Cereus mamayang gabi, babalik naman ako Dawn. Pati si Cereus babalik din 'yon, dito na kami lumaki at nandito ang mga alaala ng mga magulang ko. Kaya babalik ako!" Dusk said, I saw a hint of sadness crossed her eyes but she covered it with a cheerful laugh. She's just acting tough but I know that she's hurting too, she don't wanna leave this place but she needed to.

Dumating si Cereus at nagpaalam ulit saamin, hindi ko na napigilang umiyak. Pati si Dusk, magkakahiwa-hiwalay na kami. Simula no'ng mga bata pa kami ay kami na ang magkakasama, kami ang nag dadamayan kapag may problema ang isa.

"We will continue to write our story but this time, we'll write our story without each other. We need to be strong, even we're not together anymore, girls. I will comeback to this place after I graduated and we will reunite again," Dusk said while sobbing. Cereus was just crying silently. Dusk is right, we will continue to write our stories for years without each other, but they will still comeback and I will hold onto that promise.

"Balik kayo ah? Balikan n'yo 'ko" I said while wiping my tears and raising my pinky finger.

"Promise," they both stated and smiled before we do the pinky promise.

"Let's meet again someday, bye for now girls! See you on the future. We will be successful and we'll spend all our money for ourselves! We'll travel the world together, we will go to Italy to find our handsome the one!" We laugh after Dusk said those words. This is because of what she heard. Narinig nya na ang mga Italian daw ay wagas magmahal at laging sasabihin sa'yo araw-araw kung gaano ka nila kamahal at etc. Basta gusto n'ya ng Italian.

"Napaka delulu mo talaga ano?" Nagtawanan kami dahil sa sinabi ni Cereus, Dusk was laughing while wiping her tears, same as me while Cereus just stared at us while smiling.

"Best friends forever pa rin ha?" Tumango sila Dusk at Cereus, tears kept flowing out from our eyes. This will be our last day together. 

We spent the whole afternoon together, we play and do the things that we used to do since when we're a child even now that we're already 16.

Nandito kami ngayon sa tindahan ni aling Nena at kumakain ng ice cream.

"Para sainyo oh" napatingin kami kay Dusk nang magsalita ito. Inilabas n'ya ang tatlong bracelet, ibinigay n'ya saamin ni Cereus ang dalawa. I immediately wore the bracelet before smiling at her.

"Thank you," I said while staring at the handmade bracelet on my wrist.

"Hala ang ganda ng bracelet pero ampangit ng gumawa," pabirong turan ni Cereus na nagpasimangot kay Dusk.

"Maganda kaya ako!" Aniya ni Dusk bago umirap. "Hala napaka asyumera talaga!" Cereus said while laughing.

Inabot ni Dusk ang buhok ni Cereus at pabirong sinabunutan. Natawa na lang ako sa dalwa.
