Chapter 4

".......I will make you mine, Dawn"

Umurong ang dila ko dahil sakanyang mga sinabi. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang magiging reaksyon ko.

"Aphrodite," he said in a baritone voice that made me weak, why does my second name sounds good when he's the one pronouncing it? Why do I found his voice sexy everytime he'll say my name? It's the second time that he called me by my second name.

"H-huh?" Napahawak ako sa railing ng veranda. My heart was pounding, it was like my heart wants to get out of my ribcage.

He smirk that made me swallow my own saliva, "are you okay?" He asked innocently.

"A-ah...oo n-naman, bakit hindi ako magiging o-kay?" Umayos ako ng tayo.

"You're stuttering, you look pale, what's wrong my Aphrodite?" He said as he tucked some strand of my hair that's covering my face on the back of my ear. Oh please Leo! Stop saying my second name, you're giving me butterflies.

"Okay nga lang ako! Ang kulit!" Kunwaring galit kong saad.

"Really?"

"Oo nga! Sapakin kita gusto mo?" Napahawak naman ito sa dibdib nya at umaktong nasasaktan, "Ouch, you just hurt my heart," he said while acting like he's in a lot of pain that made me laugh, I never knew that this doctor has this side.

"Anong 'you just hurt my heart' ka d'yan? Baka 'you hurt my feelings,' tulog na yata braincells mo doc." Pamimilosopo ko upang maitago ang tunay na nararamdaman.

He looked pissed but he just sigh it off before staring at me intently that made my heart pound abnormally.

"Aphrodite," his Adams apple moves up and down before he stared at my eyes, down to my lips. He swallowed again before averting his gaze. I just kept silent because I don't know what to say! I don't know what to do, damn this man, he's really ruining my system.

"I have something for you," he said before immediately going out of the Veranda. Lumabas sya sa gate at pumunta sakanyang kotse, he's now using his red BMW.

Hindi kalaunan ay bumalik din ito kaagad,  "here's my birthday gift!" Ipinakita nya saakin ang isang itim na rectangular box, kwintas ba ang laman nyan?

I stared at the box in his hand, he's smiling broadly.

"Turn around," he commanded that I immediately obeyed, my body just moved on its own.

Hinawi nito ang buhok ko sa likod at ipinatong saaking balikat.

"Dawn, why are you wearing a necklace? This was not on your neck when you left the hospital earlier to work on the cafe," his forehead was creasing.

"R-regalo lang ng boss ko," naging malikot ang mga mata ko, hindi ako makatingin sakanya. I felt guilty for a unknown reason.

"Your boss is a man, right?" I nod my head.

 

"Can you tell me what happened between the two of you earlier?" Napalunok ako dahil sa kalamigan ng kanyang boses, galit ba s'ya?

"Hindi ko naman kailangan i-report sa'yo ang mga kaganapan sa buhay ko 'no!" I turn my back on him to face the night sky.

"Dawn, tell me...." His husky voice whispered on my ear, oh damn! Masasapak ko na 'to.

"Kiss muna," I jokingly said but immediately regretted it when I saw a playful smirk appear on his lips.

"Sure," he lean closer before holding my nape. He closed his eyes as he slowly lean his face to mine, I covered my mouth with my hand when our lips almost met. He opened his eyes, his forehead creased and he looks annoyed that made me smirk.
