Lies
"She wants to see you. She needs to see you. Please meet her." Paulit-ulit na iyak ni Kalen.
Tulala ako habang tinitingnan siyang umiiyak.
"Please, nagmamakaawa ako sa'yo. Gustong-gusto ka niya makita. Please Jahzara. Please."
I have no idea what he was talking but seeing him crying like this, I felt pain.
"Kalen anong pinagsasabi mo?"
He's still crying but he calmed down.
"Just come with me now. She needs to see you. I'll explain on the way." Binuksan niya ang passenger seat.
"Ano? No. I have to be somewhere right now can't you see? I'll talk to you tomorrow. Go home Kalen. Bukas na tayo mag usap." Umamba akong papasok na sana sa ulit sa bahay but I froze once again to what he said.
"Kaicel is sick! She doesn't have more time!"
Huminto ang sistema ko sa sinigaw niya.
"Anong sabi mo?" I heard and understand that, but that are the words that came out of my mouth. I don't know what to say.
"She's sick. Matagal na. Mas lalo lang lumala. And it's because of your brother."
"What the fuck did you just say? My brother doesn't have to do with this!" Iritadong sabi ko.
"He does! Kung hindi nasaktan ang kapatid ko sa ginawa ng kapatid mo, hindi lalala ang sakit niya!"
Umiling ako.
"You're fucked, Kalen. Stop bringing my brother into this." I said, teeth gritted.
His face became weak once again.
"I came here because she wanted to see you so bad, Jah. Please see her... I'm begging you." He hold my shoulders and cry.
Kaicel, my best friend is sick.
And here's Kalen in front of me, begging.
"I will see her. But not now Kalen." Umiling ako.
"Jahzara please! Wala na siyang oras. You wouldn't want to regret right? Meet her now. Please!"
I go inside his car.
I spaced out most of the time. This isn't their house na napuntahan ko. It's in one of the village in Bulihan.
Bumuntong hininga ako at lumabas ng kotse niya.
Tahimik akong sumunod papasok ng malaking bahay.
"K-Kalen! Where have you been? Kanina pa kita tinatawagan! This isn't the time para mag lamyerda ka!" A fuming mad woman approaches us.
"Good evening po." I greeted.
"She's upstairs. Let's go."
"Please don't tell her something that will stress her."
"I know."
