Dreams
Volleyball is one of the greatest things that happened in my life.
And today, I achieved one of my two biggest dreams.
"At first, it was just a hobby. Then it became my passion. As I play more, I realized that it's not just that. It will not end with that. I work much harder when it turns into a dream. Playing in this league, volleyball became my lifestyle. This isn't just a work to me. Because all this time in my life, this sport is also my lifeline."
I smiled as I am one inch into crying. I look at the students in my Alma Mater, quietly listening to me.
"For everyone here, I just wanna tell you this." I roam my eyes around the Dr. Marciano D. Yanga complex here in Dr. Yanga's Colleges.
"Failure does not determine your value or your prospects. Making errors is acceptable. There will be numerous obstacles to overcome on the path to success. And I speak from personal experience... If there are no obstacles in your way, success won't be at the end of the road."
They all applaud as I end my speech. I received the award from my Alma Mater and thank all of them. Specially my coaches when I was a student-athlete here.
After my visit to my old school, bumalik ulit ako ng condo ko sa Manila para naman sa celebration namin ng mga kaibigan ko.
Ilang araw na rin akong puyat. But those sleepless nights were so damn fun.
After our championship, everything feels unreal to me.
"Season's MVP is from the F2 Cargo movers, Jahzara Alejo!"
I remember how I froze, not hear anyone or anything but the beats of my heart on that moment.
Hindi ako makapaniwala. I know I did my best but I still can't believe and I didn't expect that I will won that title.
I look at my champion medal and my MVP trophy.
"Jah! OMG!" Bumulusok ng yakap sa akin sina Di, Lou, Axell, and kuya.
Umiiyak na ako ngayon dahil sa tuwa. Wala na akong paki kahit panay na ang tawa ni Lou at Axell dahil kinukuhanan nila ako ng pictures habang umiiyak. I just wanna enjoy and savour this moment.
"I'll take a solo pic of you! Tayo ka doon!" Ani Di.
I wipe my tears and smile at the camera. For the next shots, I kissed my trophy. And then I bite my medal.
Sunod ay nagpicture kaming lima na magkakasama. Hindi mapawi ang ngiti at luha ko.
That memorable night... I will never ever forget it. Never.
Panay ang inuman namin at gala nitong mga nakaraan and tonight, dito nalang sa condo ko gaganapin ang pang limang celebration na ata namin.
Ako lang mag isa ang mag aayos dahil busy ang lahat. I'm now going to the supermarket to buy foods and drinks.
I wore a black leggings and black racerback top para presko. It's a good decision dahil sobrang init ng panahon ngayon.
After mamili, I cooked some of the foods. Ang iba ay inorder ko nalang. Iyong mga hindi ko kayang lutuin.
Aside from my friends, my family will also be here later.
Humilata ako sa sofa nang matapos sa nakakapagod na pagluluto. I'm sweaty everywhere pero hindi muna ako maliligo since kakaluto ko lang. Mamu and lola said it's a bad thing to do pagtapos maligo.
I get my phone to open my days abandoned IG. Sa dami ng ganap nung nakaraan, after ko mag post ng pictures, nawala na sa loob ko ang mag open ng kahit anong social media.
