"We better hurry darling," aya pa nito.

She heard Thomas' sigh of impatience but didn't turn to look at him. He folded his arms on his chest. Mataman na nakatingin ito sa kanya. He has a look of impatience. His lips were a thin line. Malaki ang kasalanan nito sa kanya and not even his black mood could frighten her.

"What's wrong now? We might have had a small disagreement but you were still able to go to your mother's. So ano na naman 'to darling? We have to leave or we'll be late for our wedding."

She had enough pain and heartaches. She will talk to him right now by hook or by crook.

"Bakit magpapakasal tayo ulit?" kalmadong tanong niya. Strangely she felt calm though her inside says otherwise.

He constricted his eyes and they became half slits. "We had  a civil wedding in Davao, which to be honest, was a last minute decision. My mother has a close friend who is a priest. Gusto ko siya ang magkasal sa atin before he leaves for the Vatican tomorrow . I hired a group of competent people to do all the preparations. Everything  has been  set at a very short period of time. Let's say," tumingin ito sa relo bago ibinalik uli ang mga mata sa kanya, "they have been working to make things perfect in almost close to an hour  and a half now.  I know na mas gusto mo ang simpleng kasal so  that is what we are having. We can always have a grand one after a few months. Your white dress and my suit are ready too. Tayo na lang ang hinihintay darling. My parents are there and Jake nandoon na rin ang sylist ni mama.

"Wow as usual things are in order. Bilib talaga  ako sa'yo  dear husband! Money is  no object talaga 'no? " she asked sarcastically.

Now his eyes were slits. "The sarcasm is uncalled for.  As I said, if you want  a bigger wedding, I will give it to you next time . We don't know how long is Father Arthur's sojourn in Europe but when he returns,  we can have the wedding you want."

What do you get from doing this?" naiiling na tanong niya.

A deep line appeared on his forehead and he leaned forward as he uncrossed his arms and rested them on the table.

"What on earth are you saying?" he asked and his words were like icicles.

Do you gain anything in making a fool out of me? You go f*ck yourself Mr. Herrera because I am not going to be fooled by you again! You know what? I am glad and relieved na peke ang kasal natin because I  can easily walk away from you. You better stay away from me from now on or I swear to God you will see the b*tch in me!" banta niya habang kinukuha ang bag na nasa lamesa.

Hindi pa siya nakakalabas, hinablot ni Thomas ang isang braso niya to turn her to him. She shrieked when he threw her  on his shoulder.

She didn't hit his back but just kept on uttering bad words which he could only hear  as she grits her teeth.

"Get back inside and just drive!" utos nito sa kapatid.

Expertly, he put her down from his shoulder to shove her inside the  backseat. She moved to a sitting position and quickly reached for the door but he pulled her to him.

"Drive!" he ordered William and the car moved.

"Bitiwan mo ako!" Nanlalaban na sabi niya.

"Stay still!" he said through clenched teeth.

His nostrils are flaring as he glowered at her.

"Why the f*ck did you say na peke ang kasal natin sa Davao?" namumula ang mukha na tanong nito. He is breathing raggedly.

She tried to wriggle free but he tightened his hold. He is manhandling her and she hates it but she didn't want to exhaust her energy since there's no way she could escape him at the moment.

"Bakit?

" What the hell?!" dinig niyang sambit ni William.

Bumalik ang mga mata niya kay Thomas when he slightly shook her. He has a heavier frown and his jaw clenched.

"That's a f*cking lie! Someone stole the marriage certificate so our wedding wasn't registered. I paid a huge some of money to catch the culprit! Finally someone contacted me to say that a woman surrendered it! Pinapa-authenticate ko as of now and I am going to give a reward to that person but the investigation doesn't stop there! But just to be sure, I want us to get married again! And listen here my dear wife, with or without a marriage certificate, you can never get away from me!"
