Akshara rubbed her temples as she sipped on some water, she was sorting through some files for a new case that had been offered to her through her internship but her head had been killing her for half the day. She had suffered another panic attack after her conversation with Abhinav and was left to help herself, and she was extremely proud of herself that she was able to handle it but she couldn't hide the fact that it was still extremely hard. 

Abhinav hadn't said anything to her family yet,  but she could see him sulking around the house while most of her family members murmered amongst themselves to ask him about the issue. She knew it would be another one of their interventions, which would drain her out of all her energy so she would ignore it as long as she could. 

She spent another five minutes marking up a few sheets and making notes here and there to help with the case before the sound of her phone ringing stole her attention. 

Abhimanyu. 

She takes a deep breathe before answering it, "Hello"

"Hi" He says and she can sense he's nervous about something. He takes a pause before continuing, "Akshara, can I come with you and Abhinavji to pick Abhir up at school today?"

She understands his hesitation, and feels a tinge of guilt. She was so hurt that she forgot how far she took it with him at times, however she was determined to start over and fix things on her side as well. 

"Abhimanyu, you don't have to ask" She says, "He's your child too"

He doesn't speak for a minute and it gets her tensed up worried that something was wrong on the other end. He finally speaks and there's a shake in his voice,  causing her to immediately know she's done the right thing once again, "Thank you Akshara. It's means everything"

She shakes her head with a smile but after a beat she decides to tease him, "kitne emotional hogaya tum bhi" 

"mein?" his surprised voice comes from the other side and she grins in victory. "tum toh badi emotional hain"

"bilkul nahi! tujhe pata mein bahut gussa karta tha sab ke saath" She twirls the pen in her hand unable to stop the silly smile on her face, 

"oh ho! asli roop bahar agaya dekh. I always knew it" He goes along with her, and a minute later they both fall into laughter. 

"chalo I'll see you in a couple of minutes" He says before ending the call and she hums in response. 

Apparently, her badi mumma was eavesdropping on her conversation which caused her to sit next to Akshara wearing an anxious expression. 

"Akshu, tum kya kar rahe ho?" She asks, and Akshara mentally groans. "Abhinav ji bahut takleef mein ho"

"aur mein?" Akshara says, raising her voice slightly. She was tired of being the one to constantly have to care for Abhinav, she had her own feelings too which no one seemed to acknowledge. 

"akshu kaise baat kar rahe hain? Abhinav ji bahut dukh mein hain aur woh bhi kal rat Abhimanyu aaya na isslie" Swarna says, unable to see the problem with Akshara. 

"Abhimanyu didn't do anything last night and Abhir spent plenty of time with Abhinav compared to Abhimanyu" Akshara says, she wasn't exactly defending Abhimanyu but she was tired of beating around the bush with the main problem. "Anyways I have to go and pick up Abhir"

Without letting Swarna get in another word, Akshara pulls her bag to her shoulder and walks out of the house.
