Abhimanyu feels the floor beneath him crumble into pieces, they had made it past the great war but the aftermath held a bitterness.
She had lost her memory, they couldn't manage to execute the surgery perfectly in time. Dr.Sinha had apologised but Abhimanyu promised him that it wasn't his fault - it was nobody's in fact they should be happy that they had saved Akshara.
His mind had been on autodrive with adrenaline pumping through his veins, he had shut off his emotions in a dangerous fashion and all his thoughts were structured to plan out the next course of action.

Akshara awakes and feels the room spin, with its white translucent lights and the sick smell of the hospital. She managed to prop her elbows against the bed to sit up - after a through amount of struggling - she sat against the headboard and let out a sigh.
Her eyes scanned the room to familiarise herself with her surroundings, a sense of fear engulfed her as she came to the understanding that she was in a hospital yet she couldn't tell why or where. Everything was confusing her, and her bottom lip jutted out in a quiver.
At the sound of the door clicking her heart rate increased rapidly as more fear overtook her for the unknown. A man walked in, wearing a serious expression while standing near her in all his greek god glory. She felt a weird sensation take over her, almost as if she wanted to say something but couldn't figure out what or why. She didn't even know who he was, right?
" Your name is Akshara Goenka and you've been in an accident. That accident has caused you to face some memory damage but we're certain that you'll recover" His voice rang, reverberating in the room. "My name is Dr.Abhimanyu birla and I'll be your doctor"
She tries processing all the information he had rudely thrown at her with no explanation, her name had sounded familiar yet her age caused her eyebrows to crease however what itched her the most was this man's name - Abhimanyu Birla.
She doesn't say anything for a while, and he's about to step closer to check on her as he's suddenly grown worried, but she doesn't let him once she finally finds her voice to speak. "What was my accident?"
"A car crash" He lies, they had been advised to feed her a simple narrative and later build on it once she showed progress through therapy. "And there are things about your life that may shock you so we will tread through them slowly"
His voice grows softer and he comes closer to her while giving her a reassuring look, it's as if a switch was flipped between the man she first met and the one that was in front of her right now. She couldn't lie though ever since she had met his eyes, a feeling of comfort washed over her and she had the urge to listen to every one of his orders.
"Alright" She whispers, holding the bed covers tightly. She couldn't feel any emotions yet regarding her accident since she didn't exactly know what she had lost. "Can I ask questions, in between?"
"Of course" a warm smile spreads across his face, "Anything you want, and we are going to take this slowly"
"My parents?" She asks as a question and he flinches slightly, knowing that they would have to start off harshly. At his expression, however she realizes and she feels as if something heavy is placed on her chest. she couldn't recognize her parents but she still somehow could feel the loss.
"They aren't with you, you have lost them at a young age. However you have a big loving family who have loved you and taken care of you" He answers, and she merely nods. "They all are eager to meet you but don't stress too much on recognizing them"
