He closes the door behind him and straightens his coat, as he resumes his rounds around the hospital. Akshara had been on his mind since the engagement, she had seemed to be avoiding him. It was only later when he had cornered her for a dance that she gave in and danced with him, otherwise throughout the night she would escape his presence leaving him only a couple of minutes of her time.

Lost in thought, he almost slipped on his next step but suddenly he was pulled into the storage closet, but before he could protest a familiar scent of vanilla and jasmine infiltrated his senses.

Akshara

"Shh!" She covers his mouth with her hand. She was pressed against a rack with his body completely caging her, but that was the last thought on her mind. Meanwhile, his mind was going into overdrive at their proximity.

"Akshara?" Abhimanyu says, once she dropped her hand to the side.

"Are you getting married?" She asks urgently, her brows were knit together and her lips were pulled into a distressed pout. When she had visited the Birla household, to drop Abhir to play with Roohi, Arohi had subtly informed her that Manjiri was wanting Abhimanyu to get married again, and though he denied- he apparently hadn't denied with as much force as he usually exerts. "You can tell me the truth"

"Me? Marriage?" He sputters mainly because he's lost to where she could have possibly got that idea.

"So you're not?" She asks, persistant and there's a hint of hope in her voice which confuses him further.

"Of course not" He says firmly and she visibly relaxes, even gives him a smile. However, once that particular worry is out of her head, she realises the position she put the both of them in. It feels as if it was a lifetime away, when he used to pull her into the storage rooms for hidden kisses, she was always the tease to his utter frustration.

She can tell with the look in his eyes that he's thinking about those times as well and heat stirs in the depths of her stomach. However, a minute later a humorous smirk plays on his lips and she finds it very hard to look away from him.

"So is that the reason you pulled me into the storage room...or did you have any other ideas?" His voice drops an octave lower and she feels as if the room's temperature suddenly increased. She's a bit stunned to respond at his boldness, but she couldn't lie the thought of him feeling the same way made her heart flutter.

"Intially it was for my question" She says as her lips contort to a grin, "But i'm open for any other ideas you have in mind"

She can tell, she's caught him off guard. He had clearly expected her to push him away and for them to continue on with their day, but she didn't. Instead she resorted back to her rather teasing tendencies. Knowing he wouldn't be responding any time soon, she slips under his hold and unlocks the door.

Just as she's leaving, she makes sure to say, "It's a shame you had no ideas"

Arohi presses the dough in her hands before she flattens it out slightly before rolling it into a circular disk. her head is filled with her to-do list, she still had to attend to- when Akshara leans against the kitchen doorframe.

"You look really good akshu" Aarohi gasps as she looks her up and down. Akshara was dressed in a white chikan anarkali with a deep neckline which she craftfully covered with her sheer white dupatta. Soft curls bounced on her shoulders and arohi notices that her face held a glow she hadn't seen in her for a while. "Going anywhere special?"

"No of course not" Akshara admonishs, but Arohi doesn't miss the faint tint of pink on her cheeks. "Abhimanyu and I are just helping plan for the sangeet"
