Abhimanyu waits anxiously, the team that Dr.Sinha had sent were supposed to be arriving any second, and he was determined to make them comfortable. He knew this was unlike him, to go beyond his usual rules to become a doormat for the new doctors especially at his own hospital but for Akshara he couldn't care less about his pride. 

"Abhimanyu?" A female's voice stole his attention and he turned towards a middle aged looking women, dressed in a formal dress. She seemed familiar to him but he couldn't place from where he could have known her. "Of course you forgot me"

"It's not that I-

"Richa! From medical college" She confirms and his eyes light up in recognition. Granted that he wasn't very social back in his college days and only had a few set of friends, Richa was younger than him by a couple of years but she used to date one of his friends back in the day so they got along. 

"Oh of course, I remember! How are you?" He asks genuinely. 

"I'm doing good. I'm on Dr.Sinha's team now, so i don't live in india any longer but im planning to settle back here after we're done with the current case we were called for here" She states, and he can't believe the coincidence. That's when he realizes that behind them, Dr.Rohan is showing the other doctors into the conference room. 

"What are the chances" Abhimanyu says, before excusing himself and walking over to the other doctors and plastering on a warm smile before welcoming each of them. He leads them all to the conference room, and explains Akshara's situation and the preparations they would be needing to take as well as all of the hospital's facilities that they could use. 

As soon as he gets everyone successfully sent to their hotel rooms, he observes Richa and Rohan laughing in the corner. He shakes his head at the two of them and makes his way over to him, they don't notice him causing him to clear his throat to get his attention. 

"Oh Abhimanyu sir, I was just eh-" Rohan tries explaining, his ears turning pink at being caught socializing. 

"Oh come on don't tell me you're scared of Abhimanyu" Richa laughs at Rohan. Rohan tries shaking his head in a convincing manner but fails. 

"Anyways, How's Rishit?" Abhimanyu asks, diverting the topic much to Rohan's relief. Rishit was his friend in college that Richa used to date, and eventually the two got married too. 

"We got divorced" She says, a wry smile making itself onto her face. "That's why I decided to move back to india, for a fresh start"

Abhimanyu nods, but he doesn't miss the hopeful look in Rohan's eyes and he can't help but internally laugh at his junior doctor's hopefullness. "What about you? Still single with your, 'oh love doesn't exist' theories?"

"Single right now yes, but not always" Abhimanyu answers, unable to hide the bitter tinge in his tone. 

"Did you get married?" Richa asks, curiously. 

"Yeah  and surprise I even have a kid" He states, and her face morphs into visble shock. It's at that point, where even Abhimanyu reflects on the change in himself. Back when he was younger, he didn't believe in love at all let alone marriage and then Akshara came into his life and well the rest was history. 

"Oh my god, and let me guess your ex wife is the patient?" Richa asks, her voice a mix of franticness and worry. Abhimanyu just nods rigidly as he thinks about Akshara' condition again. "She'll be fine, trust me. But you need to be careful on this as at times you need to think professionally"

"I know and I will" He says knowing her advice came from a good place. "She's going to come in later, to have a few more check ins"

"Good so I can meet the women you fumbled so hard" Richa grins and Abhimanyu groans, this wasn't going to go well.
