Abhimanyu isn't sulking. Of course he's not, he has better things to do, it's not like he's whole life revolved around his kids.
Lies.
His kids are quite literally everything to him, and every second is given to them. He sighs, propping himself against the headrest of his bed, deciding to go through the new medical files Rohan had sent him an hour ago.
He was extremely glad that now he had both his kids as a reason of living, yet he knew how boring he might have seemed with most of his focus being on work for most of his life.
"You're so boring, Abhi" Akshara whines, as she threads the dough on the counter of the kitchen.
He had his arms wrapped around her from behind, and was pressing lazy kisses to her neck with his head buried in the crook of her neck, but at her confession he shoots up, "What? me boring? never"
She lets out a tinkling laugh, "Haan bahut, lekin kya karu mein ek boring insaan ki pighal gaya"
"Fine" He sighs and retracts his hands from her waist, not wanting to force her to anything she didn't want to. "I'll go myself, I'll see you later tonight"
He pulls away from her and is about to press a kiss to her cheek as he leaves but she turns around in time and wraps her arms around his neck, "Abhi! Not fair, you didn't even try to convince me"
"What should I do?" He asks, confused and she shakes her head before bumping her head against his in an attempt to knock some sense into him.
"What should I do? Oh god, you've become so unromantic since we've gotten married" She sighs dramatically, and he pouts before he straightens up and decides to use his other more fullfilling techniques.
"So I haven't been romantic at all?" He asks, leaning in way too closely leaving only an inch between their lips. And she's flustered almost instantly, and she mainly blames it on the voice he's using at the particular moment knowing exactly what he's doing to her.
"Abhi" She breathes trying to push him away with no effort at all, "Everyone's home right now"
"So? I have more important matters to deal with, my wife doesn't think I'm romantic at all" He says, and knowing how carried away they would get she decides to end her act quicker than intended.
"Fine, I'll come to your stupid medical year reunion" She says, and he pulls away to look at her with his arms still firmly wrapped around her waist. "As much as you're boring, i love you"
She beams as she gets the last tease in, and he doesn't even care as he gets flattered every time she tells him she loves him. "And you know what, it could be useful for me. I could know how you were in college and... meet all those girls that Neil tells me about"
"Maybe you should skip this one after all" He replies and she giggles while playing with the hairs on the end of his nape. "It would be boring after all"
"No way, Mr.Birla" She grins, and a moment later presses her forehead against his smiling in content. "You're completely mine"
The guilt sweeps in at an instant, and he's ashamed of himself to recall these old memories since she wasn't his no longer nor was she in love with him. He knew a part of him could never forget these moments, they were the happiest he had felt but they were gone now. No matter how much he tried convincing himself that his personal memories could be treasured, he knew it could be perceived wrong.
