Abhimanyu tried to fight off the sinking feeling as Abhir called him docman once again. He knew that at the time of the accident, the papa elicited from his mouth was unconcious - he wasn't thinking about it. That just made it more special, that abhir had truly felt that and wasn't just doing it because of his fears or to wake him up.

He also wasn't a fool, he had learnt from the past and knew that most good things in his life took time. He was actually way luckier than he had thought he would ever be, he had accepted that he would live with whatever life would give him, but never had he thought that he would be lucky enough to live in harmony with both Akshara and Abhir.

That was enough for him.

"Poppy!" Roohi whined, pulling on his coat effectively pulling him out of his thoughts, "come on, our turn is next"

"aree roohi you know i can't dance. this was a bad idea" He complained. Roohi had dragged him to her dance class as she had to bring a parent, and Aarohi had already firmly said no and everyone else in the family wouldn't accept, plus there was never a time Abhimanyu could say no to her.

"Chalo na" She pulled him onto the dance floor, they were taught a few dance steps which they both executed perfectly. Abhimanyu every now and then purposefully swinged her in the wrong direction just to irritate her which ended up with the both of them in fits of laughter.

After a good hour or so,  the instructor finally bid them adieu and told them that next class was back to normal sessions. Abhimanyu mentally thanked the gods above and Roohi just pushed him knowing that he was happy about this. One thing about her poppy was that he would follow through on even her most wildest pleas, and dancing was the least of them - he even enjoyed dancing with her at events but always complained that these dance classes were embarrassing.

once he had packed up her bag properly, made sure that she had drank some water and helped her tie her shoelaces. The both of them decided to walk down the stairs of the building, the entire way down Roohi wouldn't stop chattering away while Abhimanyu hanged onto each and every word of hers.

At the final step, they both threw a sneaky glance at each other and jumped down, both laughing. However, the surprise that awaited them at the bottom of the staircase was one that Abhimanyu didn't expect, not even in his wildest dreams.

His father.

He looked older, yet still maintained his jet black hairdye and as always was dressed in a crisp suit. The grouchy expression that abhimanyu was so used to seeing ever since his childhood was now replaced with a gentle hopeful smile. Before his father had distanced himself from the family, he had been a better person and tried his best to be a better father. But as usual, they didn't get much time.

"Abhimanyu" He said, his voice holding so much emotion. His hand reached out towards his son, but in the last second he remembered his place and retracted it. His glance dropped to the little girl that was hiding behind him, peeking through the side of his shirt.

For Abhimanyu, the air was knocked out of his lungs as he saw his father, after all these years. He had kept slight touch with him, through just maintaining a check on his whereabouts whenever tauji talked to him but made no efforts. However with everything that had happened in his life and all the changes he had experienced, his own throat choked up at the sight of his father. He swallowed hard before he said, "Sir aap?"

The 'sir' didn't faze Harsh in the slightest and he seemed more happy that his son seemed to be moved to a certain extent by his visit.

"I dropped by and I couldn't leave without seeing everyone" He explained and Abhimanyu nodded before smiling.
