a/n: it's unedited sorry for all the mistakes!

Her loud cry drew Abhimanyu's attention and it wasn't long before she pushed through the crowd frantically screaming his name. Abhimanyu rushed to her in an instant, she was in shambles.

"Akshara calm down" He holds her firmly by both hands and forces her to look at him. "Listen to me"

"Abhimanyu, Abhir I can't find him- he's missing" She cries, falling onto his chest and his breathing stills. Abhir was missing? Panic overtakes him but he does his best not to sink knowing that Akshara needed him. "I'm so sorry, he was holding my hand all this time and the next minute- "

She can't find the heart to complete her words and he gently pushes her off him, his own heart painfully hammering against his chest. He was in denial, just a couple of hours ago he had kissed his head promising him that he would see him soon, and now?

He shouldn't have fought with Akshara. He should have come to the festival with the both of them, had his anger gotten the better of him yet again? Even after all these years in which he thought there could be change within him?

Maybe he didn't deserve them.

And maybe he never will.

"Akshara, listen to me carefully" He says after a pause and she listens attentively. "We'll split up and search for him and I'll let the police security know so that they'll be alert"

She gulps before nodding and with a final glance, they split apart in the center of the festivals. The chanting and music was so loud that she could barely hear herself think. She pushed through the crowd and pulled up a picture of abhir and showed it around to people. Most of them shook their heads before giving her a pitying look.

what kind of a mother loses their own son?

Tears blur her vision as she grows more frantic looking for him, a sound of pure childlike laughter catches her attention and she turns praying to see abhir, yet she's left disappointed. Her tight bun comes loose, as she runs around searching for him. She stops after a couple of minutes trying to catch her breath knowing that she might pass out if she doesn't.

Abhir had tumbled into her at the hospital and hadn't left her side since. It had been bizarre at first when she put together that she was a mother. She was still logical knowing her age, but this piece of information had also sent her into having panic attacks.

She was told she was diagnosed with them before but it might have been something related to her pregnancy that had caused those to come back. She hadn't asked, and she noticed that no one was willing to bring up her pregnancy so she dropped it. she had felt an instant connection with abhir and so she was comfortable enough to move to jaipur with just him and as they spent more time, she grew more attached and protective.

"ABHIR!" She screams loudly into the crowd, her emotions getting the best of her. An estrangled sob escapes her and she loses her footing,  she had already passed out once she had shouted due to the stress and fatigue but with a thud she fell onto the floor. It couldn't be placed if she was in a state of conciousness or unconcious, but her head ached severely. The next thing she knew, she attained flashes of scenes as if they were playing out right in front of her, she was screaming for help and a man had assisted her carrying her on his own back in the pouring rain.

It hit her at once almost knocking her out cold, she remembered everything from the minute she held him in her arms to their last goodbye before her surgery. The series of emotions that teared at her heart. Abhir had cured her heart, given her a hope to live with his dazzling smile and she knew she couldn't abandon him - not now not ever.
