Abhimanyu stood afar as he watched Akshara alternate between swinging both the kids respectively on the swings. There was a childlike glow on her face which reminded him of the girl he once met all those years ago. This was all he ever wanted in life, this peace and serenity of watching the woman he loved with their two kids living the rest of their life in pure bliss. Yet things never seemed to go the way they wanted, life did seem to use all it's energy into hating the two of them. Abhimanyu knew that the circumstances weren't the only reason that he had lost his chance at this life, his reactions were irreversible and had promised him that he would never have a shot at it again.

It hurt him, he couldn't lie, when he saw Abhinav instead of him  but he also knew that he didn't deserve that place in their life, but he coudl try his hardest to prove himself worthy. However, he wouldn't fight any longer for love, it had tired him fighting after fully knowing that he would be left as a last choice. He would be content with the happiness of the people he loved and cared for, whether their happiness lay in him or not.

As Akshara saw Abhir's happy smile as she swung him on the swing, she had mentally vowed that she would no longer let love go easily and she would fight for the people she loved no matter what happened. A couple of seconds later, her eyes wandered over to Abhimanyu who was standing a good distance away from them watching, and even though he hid it well, his eyes gave his sadness away.

"Betu and Roohi, mein abhi aati hoon. I'll bring you guys the smoothie they are selling" She promises and both the kids nod their head in unison.

Abhir was secretly glad that he would get some privacy to talk to Roohi about everything that had occured the night before.

By the time Akshara walked over to him, he had turned the other way and was speaking on the phone, supposedly about a new case from the hospital. She lightly tapped his shoulder, and he turned around, "Dr.Rohan keep me updated, alright"

He ends the call and gestures towards the kids making small talk, "i hope this will help abhir slowly adjust to udaipur"

"True, this was a good idea. He seems very happy with Roohi"Akshara replies,  "And I actually was about to get them smoothies"

He smiles, showing his agreement to her idea. They walk step in step towards the truck that was selling all sorts of goodies. Akshara couldn't help but sneak a few glances at him, she knew something was bothering him but couldn't place it exactly. Plus her headache wasn't leaving her and a slight sense of fatigue had overcome her while she was swinging the kids causing her to walk over to him as well.

"Tum teek haina?" He surprises her by asking, and she looks at his sincere eyes holding concern. "You look slightly pale and tired"

She's about to tell him not to worry and that it was just stress about her divorce with Abhinav, but something stops her. Instead she tries smiling, "I'm good, just didn't get to sleep last night"

He nods before looking away, and she realizes the double meaning with her words and internally cringes inside before correcting herself, "I mean Abhir barely slept all night so I was worried sick about him"

He doesn't say much but she can tell with the way his steps have a slight extra bounce that her confirmation goes well with him, but it's exactly that which stops her from telling him about the divorce.

How would he take it? Did he still love her? Or would he be completely indifferent about it? Either scenario scared her, mainly cause she was so used to running away from her feelings that she never got to mull over her thoughts.

She shook her head rid of all these thoughts, these were the least important things for her to think about right now. Her first priority was her son abhir and then it was her career, she was determined to strive and create a future for herself and abhir with her own hard work. She was determined to make abhir proud of her.

Abhimanyu orders the smoothies and surprises her with ordering one for her too, "You'll feel better"

She just gives him a small smile and he tilts his head at her, silently telling her that she should know better than lying to him since he could always tell.

As they walk back, Akshara can't help but feel that something was wrong with her. she didn't tell anybody but she had been having severe migraines for a month as well as random episodes of fatigue. At first she brushed it off thinking it was the feeling of missing abhir and the constant stress of everything, but she had never felt this physically and emotionally drained before.

"I'm sorry if you feel bad about this Roohi, I know he's your poppy" Abhir whispers into the phone, with a sullen face.

He had sneaked into his room, and stole akshara's phone to talk to Roohi.

"It's okay abhir, poppy explained everything to me and he told me he's always going to take care of me and love me" Roohi answers back, "I just hope everything is alright with you"

Abhir doesn't respond immediately, he himself was struggling through it all. Both Abhimanyu and Akshara had noticed and had already asked a million questions, but he had quickly lied while silently apologizing in his head. He just needed to know the truth.

"I'm okay, but I just want to know Roohi" Abhir says, looking to the ground. There was silence between the two, and a second later Abhir heard the sound of his mother's footsteps. "Okay bye Roohi, I'll see you at the restaruant"

"Abhir mera phone..." Akshara's words died on her lips as Abhir hid the phone in his lap. She narrows her eyes at him and sits next to him, while reaching her hand out to grab it from him. "Itne naughty hogaya meri choti baby!"

Abhir lets out a breathe of relief once he realizes his mumma wasn't actually mad at him. He's also recently come to that realization that his mother had seemed very carefree these days.

"I wanted to talk to Docman and Roohi" He says, it wasn't exactly a lie. He just didn't get time to speak to his docman. "Sorry"

She melts at his cuteness and pulls him closer to her, "It's okay, you can talk to docman and roohi whenever you want. And I've been meaning to tell you that whenever you feel ready you can stay over at docman's house too"

Abhir looks at his mumma's warm eyes and feels her soft touch, he didn't want to leave her at all. But then he remembers, his docman protecting him, caring for him and his comforting forehead kisses and agrees, knowing he has to give a chance to both his parents.  He also trusted his docman that if he ever wanted to go home, his docman would agree instantly.

"Can I go tonight?" He asks, and Akshara's eyes widen at the suddeness but agrees.

"Of course, I'll call Abhimanyu" She says, "Or we'll surprise him, he'll be more excited that way!"

He nods enthusiastically before hopping off the bed and linking his hands with his mother before walking down the stairs to the rest of the family waiting to go. He's amazed by the way his mumma seems excited at the prospect of giving his docman a happy surprise, which causes more turmoil in his small heart.
