Chapter 13: The Gala

Once she got home, she put on some music. Frank Ocean "Pyramids' played throughout the house as she went to take a shower. She took off each article of clothing as she stepped into the steaming water. She didn't know what Destiny meant by "To start a new course". Did it have to do with her dream of sitting on a throne?

She scrubbed her body clean and shaven. She got out wrapping a towel around her body, before walking into her room. She dried her body off, putting her lotion that almost made her skin glow and sprayed fragrance mist on her body. She pulled on the bra and panty set before wrapping herself in a robe. She went downstairs to eat something. By the time she was done, she brushed her teeth.

She did her hair, turning her usual straightened hair into a bed of beautiful curls. Her makeup was simple but classic before she put her dress on. She wraps her golden neck with gold where it belongs and fingers and ears. The only time she usually got dressed up was when they had town affairs and their many dances.

She put on black heels before her signature perfume. Once she was finished, she grabbed her clutch before leaving her house.

Time skip:

Kerrianne made it towards the white tower. She pulled into the valet area, seeping out the car as the wind blew into her hair softly. She walked over to the Valet giving him her keys before she walked inside. Anyone that she passed stared at her before she made it inside the building. Olivia who had just got done saying hello to Lethia and Roman smelled her scent. She smelled just like Harriet. She stared at Kerrianne as she walked over to the bar.

Roman saw her just as she walked up.

"Kerrianne." Roman spoke.

"Hello Rome." Kerrianne said with a smile.

"You look beautiful." Roman express.

"Thank you." Kerrianne says before looking at the barman.

"Can I get lemon water?" Kerrianne asked the barman who stopped his staring before nodding.

"Kerrianne, I didn't know you were going to be here." Lethia's soft tone voice said.

"Just networking." She plainly said not wanting to tell her anything.

For Lethia to be sweet, Kerrianne didn't like she had Roman and now Peter in her web. Even if she was a bunny, she was a black bunny, and they were very possessive of their mates. Even if her mates were too blind to see it.

"Oh." Lethia said.

Johann who walks up next to Kerrianne. From behind she looked just like Harriet.

"Hello." Johann said as Kerrianne turned her head towards him. He almost gasped at the resemblance she also had of Harriet. The barman sits her drink in front of her, whispering thank you.

"Hello." Kerrianne said back, taking a slip of her drink.

"I'm Johann, one of the top researchers here at the Godfreys". Johann said with his thin smile.

"Kerrianne Hopper." Kerrianne answered back.

"Harriet and Chase Hopper's daughter." Johann says.

"Yes, how do you know?" Kerrianne asked.

"Me and your parents were very close to each other when they worked here." Johann replied.

"Interesting, I would've never thought they work in a lab before. My parents were the mayor back home." She states getting an almost sad look on her face.
