I kept on mumbling these words, my vision was blurry
I could only see what was forward...
The rest was covered by a black fog...
"What's even the point anymo- ack!"

I was so distracted that I didn't even notice the huge towering wall in front of me
"A wall?....is this a protected city?....how much time has passed?"

hundreds of years had passed while all I thought about was....her....

"I imagine she must've had it way worse than me, having been betrayed like that by....." I frowned in anger "Gloreth"
I climbed the wall and noticed several soldiers guarding it, I rolled my eyes
"Figures"
I turned into a small insect and sneaked past them, only to have my eyes burn from the intense light
"OW f*ck!! My eyes!!, what kind of magic is thi-.....woah..."
My eyes widened at the incredible sight of a modernized city
Huge TVs, cars, and all sorts of modern technology...
"W-what are those glowing squares?!, what the hell!? When did humans evolve so much?!"
My mind slowing started clearing out, I felt refreshed and a little more alive...more than I've felt for the last century, a small genuine grin formed on my face
"I have a good feeling about this place"
I said as I jumped in, landing silently in the form of a bird inside one of the houses, I saw a broadcast talking about a runaway murderer
"Ba...llister?"
"Well at least they still keep the honorable names even in this era" I couldn't help but chuckle
"It's going to take a loooooong time to get used to this"
"But I'll manage just fine"
