Apologies for the slow update. I've been incredibly lazy and also busy with work. 😬💜✨

"You didn't win fairly! You cheated!" I shouted laughing whilst shoving Paul's side whilst he overly celebrated about winning.

"Hey, it's not my fault your car spun out of control!" Paul said holding his hands up in defence. His grin hadn't left his face since his racing car cross the finish line as first place.

"Only because you pushed me off of the couch!" I pointed out. Paul and Meadow were mad competitive to the point where Paul pushed me off of the couch whilst we were racing and over took my car.

Myself, Paul and Meadow were sitting in the lounge playing video games. It was currently 21:36 and we had finished pigging out of take out and cake and were spread out lazily over the couches.

"That isn't cheating that's called tactical winning." He says trying to justify himself. I nodded sarcastically in response as Meadow sat and laughed. She came second place so I guess she doesn't need to argue about what place she came but third place sucks.

"What ever you say." I smirk at Paul. If only he knew what was coming his way in the next round.

"Round 4?" Meadow suggests. She was currently sitting on a pillow on the floor in front of myself and Paul.

"Last round then we better head back home." Paul says checking his phone for the time. Meadow yawns briefly then nods in response as she looks over at me and I smile down at her. She smiles back before turning back to the TV and selecting her car.

We had played played 3 and each won so whoever wins this is the winner. I'm not much of a competitive person but Paul and Meadow seem to be. I find it hilarious how they both yell and jump up and down acting like crazy people whilst playing. The neighbours probably think that someone's being murdered the way they're yelling. I on the other hand am the type of player who will sit still and have complete focus on the game. I don't really get that hyped, but of course I want to win.

"You're going down Walker." I say smirking and looking at Paul from my peripheral vision. I see him grin slightly before responding.

"If you say so Alena" He says whilst patting my back, keeping the grin on his face. I push his hand away glaring at him joking and he laughs amused by my blunt action.

Meadow was currently down stairs in the basement collecting her bag that she had brought over with her.

"Thank you for looking after her today, I can tell she likes you a lot." Paul thanks me as we stand at my doorway waiting for Meadow.

"How can you tell?" I frown.

"Well I seem to be having a hard time getting her to leave. Everytime I say we need to head home she puts on her puppy face begging to stay 10 more minutes." Paul explains shaking his head. "She never does that when Mrs Parker babysits her. She's always running out the door when I get there." I laugh. I don't blame her. I used to be babysat by this old lady who lived a couple doors down my street and her idea of fun was my idea of boring.

"Well, it was no problem at all, she is welcome anytime." I say reassuring him. Meadow is one of the nicest 10 year olds I've ever met. "Thank you for the take out." I mention. I'm glad he brought takeout for all of us because I would of been pretty bummed if he took it with him and Meadow.

"Don't worry about it. I had a lot of fun." He crosses his arms and looks down at me. His eyes are staring right into mine and I feel as if the world around us has disappeared suddenly. I'm abruptly interrupted by the sound of loud, heavy footsteps.

"Ready!" Meadow announces as she holds up her bag and smiles.

"About time!" He jokingly rolls his eyes. "Mead, say thank you to Alena." He says taking her bag and standing behind her holding her shoulders.

"Thank you Alena! I had a really fun time today." She smiles brightly up at me.

"It was my pleasure." I grin at her.

We say our goodbyes and Paul and Meadow start walking down my driveway back to their house. I'm about to close the door when I hear my name being called. I open my door back up and look out to see Paul jogging back up the driveway towards me.

"Hey, I was uh, I was wondering if you were busy tomorrow morning?" He asks with fumbling with his hands in front of him.

"Erm, no I'm completely free, you can drop Meadow off any time." I say smiling. This is probably going to become a full time job knowing Paul has a crazy busy schedule and is always traveling out of town.

"Oh- no I was wondering if you wanted to get some breakfast down my the beach." He says rubbing the back of his head slightly.

"With you and Meadow?" I ask unsure of what he means. I doubt he would mean as a date because I don't feel like I'm his type at all.

"Just me and you, like as a date." He says unsure "Unless you think that's weird, Meadow can come-" He quickly says trying to recover from asking me on a date.

"Me and you sounds fine." I cut him of from rambling. I smile up at him and his face changes from worry to relief.

"Ok, Cool." He says smiling. "Does 8 sounds good for you?"

"Sure." I nod. He nods back. I feel like he doesn't do this often as he comes across as slightly shy which is completely ridiculous.

"Alright. Good. I'll see you then?" I nod again.
