"Holy shit." I said to Paul once Meadow had jumped out of the car. I obviously didn't want to say it in front of a ten year old.
"It's pretty nice huh?" He says as he takes his keys out of the car and opens his door, stepping out.
I try to get my mind back on track and get my body moving but I'm in complete awe over how amazing the house is. I step out of the car after Paul and walk around to meet him at the trunk.
"Pretty nice? It's fucking huge!" I whisper shout, still weary of Meadow over hearing my curse words. "You told me it was a little house near the beach, not a mansion." I laugh as he life my suitcase out of the car and places near my feet.
"Yeah, I may have under sold it." He says lifting another out. I grab my backpack and throw it over my shoulder. He leaves Meadows in his car as he is dropping her off at her moms. I go to pull my suitcase as Paul slams the trunk but he stops me. "I got it." He says as he takes it from my hands. I nod shyly and we walk up to the door which Meadow had already opened.
"When are you dropping me at moms?" Meadow asks as comes down the stairs with a bag of clothes I'm assuming she had left in her bedroom here.
"As soon as I show Alena to her room." Paul says as he looks at me. Meadow nods.
"Ok, can I go see Jessica next door?" She asks smiling.
"Quickly." Paul nods.
"See you later Alena!" She calls as she heads outside.
"See ya!" I call back. Paul gestures for me to go up the stairs in front of him and I smirk to myself once I do.
"You have a choice of two bedrooms." He says once we make it upstairs. He leads me to one which has an ensuite.
"This ones nice. Did you decorate these rooms?" I ask. I doubt he did because he doesn't seem like the interior decorative type.
"Nah, Meadow chose the themes." He says shrugging. "I think you'll like the other one better." He smiles and walks out the room and I follow him.
He opens the door to a room which was much more brighter as it had a panoramic view of the ocean and a balcony to step out onto.
"Wow." I say as I drop my bag onto the bed and open the balcony door. I stand out on the balcony and admire the view. It was a very warm day with not a cloud in the sky and there was a cool breeze from up here on the balcony.
"This room it is then?" Paul asks smiling. I nod as I turn my head to look at him, smiling also. "Alright, unpack your things whilst I take Meadow per to her moms and then we can head to the supermarket to get some food once I get back?" He suggests.
"Yep, that's fine." I nod. We go back inside and Paul goes downstairs to bring up our suitcases.
"Ok, make yourself at home, I'll be back in about 20 minutes." He says as he brings my suitcase into my room. I nod and thank him before he leaves.
