"So are you shooting any movies soon?" I ask Paul as we walk around near the sea. He hadn't mentioned anything about going away so I assumed he was on a long break from filming at the moment.

"I've been offered two, one of them starts in July and the other starts early next year, so if I do accept I have thanksgiving and Christmas at home in between the two which doesn't sound to bad for Meadow." I nod as I take a sip of my Starbucks. I guess now he has to base his decisions around Meadow all the time now she loves with him permanently.

"Does Meadow travel with you or stay at home?" I ask further.

"It depends, sometimes she flies out with me for a week or two and then she'll have to get back for school so she stays with my mother or one of her uncles." He sounds kinda sad about the whole situation.

"She must like visiting different countries though?"

"Oh yeah, she just hates not having time with me whilst I'm shooting scenes." I mumble a yeah and we step down onto the beach.

The sun was now high in the clear blue sky and the weather had gotten hotter if that was possible. It was currently 11:12am and I guess neither of us had anything else to do so we decided to hang out for the rest of the morning.

"Do you want to sit on the beach?" He asks as we walk along, past people who are sunbathing. That reminds me that I need to work on my tan.

There were a group of people playing volleyball in front of us, cheering and laughing. I smiled as one team were celebrating and the other were booing.

"Yeah I don't mind." I say, my mind going back to Paul's question.

We both sat down on the sand. Paul's legs were stretched out as he leaned back on his elbows and I say next to him with my legs crossed still sipping my drink from earlier.

"We should have a beach day some time this week. It's supposed to be the hottest week of the year." Paul says looking over at me.

"Yeah that sounds fun. We can go snorkelling again." I say grinning.

"What's the worst date you've ever been on?" I ask Paul as a random question. We were currently laying on our backs with our sunglasses on staring at the blue sky above us. The weather was too nice not to be outside.

"Well-" he starts to laugh. "It was back in 2003, I think. I had a date with this really pretty girl from the Air Force when she was stationed here. We had just come from a bar and ran into some friends at a local restaurant.
We all were eating when this puppy came walking through the fence, so we gave it a couple of pieces of bread. Shortly afterwards a security guard come and demanded we remove our dog. My date mouthed off and it was downhill after that. He left, but she was pissed and walked inside.
Soon after, we heard glass breaking. I didn't even want to look up, but my buddy says, "Hey, your date is getting arrested!" I just kept eating my soup and told him, "Don't look up, just don't look up!"
When we walked out of the restaurant, she was lying on the hood of a police car, handcuffed. As we walked by, I said, "I'll call you." He finished his story and I was trying hard to stop laughing. He looked over at me and smiled.

"So did you call her back or bail her out?" I ask giggling uncontrollably.

"Of course not." He laughs. "So what's your worst date?"" He continues to stare at my face.

(I swear, See You Again always starts playing whilst I'm writing😭)

"I went on a first date with a guy, and admitted I'm not the best at math. He then proceeded to tell me how easy math was, and how he could clearly take my same classes, never show up to any of them, and still get a better grade than me. He then asked me if I knew how to leave a tip; I told him I normally double the tax. He then spent 10 minutes showing me on a piece of paper how to find 15 percent, and was freaking out about the face that by doubling the tax, I was in fact "overtipping by about 1.5 percent." The horror! He also wouldn't let us pay the bill and leave until I showed him I could calculate the exact 15 percent tip." I finish my story and look over at Paul who has his eyes covered smiling.

"Well at least you benefited from the date." He says snickering.

"Oh yes, I now know how to tip the correct amount." I join in laughing with him. I jumped slightly as my phone vibrated in the pocket. I pulled it out and looked at the screen to see I had a message from Laura. Oh shit! I completely forgot that I needed to pick up Josh from the airport later. Right now is later, due to me and Paul losing track of time.

"I need to get going, I forgot that I needed to pick someone from the airport at 1:30." Paul nodded and stood up from the sand. He then held his hand out for my to take as he helped pull me up as well. "I guess I was having such a good time I lost track of the time." I say smiling at Paul as we walk up the beach towards where his car was parked.

"Yeah, I didn't realise we had been laying on the beach that long. I had a good time too." He smiles down at me. He isn't massively taller than me. He's about 6ft 2 and I was 5ft 4 so I would obviously have to look up at him.
