Another shortish chapter but the next one should be longer as they will be on their way to Alaska for Christmas.
I'm so sunburnt rn especially on my back so I can't even sit back on chairs or the sunbed 😂 also Greek food is 😍😍 anyway
"Are you sure you're not coming?" Laura asks as she throws her suitcase rather roughly into her car, before slamming the door shut.
"Yep." I say as we walk around to the drivers side. She decided to drive back to New York as she had to pick up her brother, Michael, on the way as he is currently studying in Michigan.
"Don't open your present as soon as i leave. Open it on Christmas!" She warns me.
"I will I promise." I say smiling. "You can open yours whenever." Laura was a bit of a control freak and hated when people would open their presents before Christmas.
"FaceTime me as much as you can when you get to Alaska ok?" I nod and give her a hug. I wouldn't see her for a week but we will both be back for New Year's Eve.
"Say hi to your parents and have lots of fun." I say before closing her door and stepping away for her to drive. I wave at her as she pulls out and drives off. As much as she drives me up the wall, I do miss her a lot.
I sigh and begin walking back inside. It was 8 in the morning and I had been to a party that someone I knew at college threw, so I wasn't feeling too great. I stumble inside and make my way over to the couch and drift off to sleep.
I find myself waking up to repeated knocking and my name being called. I fall off the couch and groan as I feel pain shoot through my arm. I stand up and steady myself before walking towards the door. I open it and see Paul topless wearing a pair of nike shorts and trainers.
"Are you ok?" He asks straight away. I frown and nod.
"Yeah why?" I ask wondering why he had the impression that I wasn't ok.
"I've been knocking on the door for about 10 minutes, I wondered if you was ok." Was I really that deep asleep.
"Oh sorry, I passed out on the couch. Some guys in my class threw a end of semester party and it got pretty wild.
"I can imagine." Paul says grinning. I begin walking up the stairs to my bedroom and Paul follows.
"I've almost packed my suitcase, the weather is cold in Alaska right?" I double check with Paul as I point to my suitcase which is set at the end of my bed.
"Yeah, take lots of warm clothes." Paul nods. "Or you can just stay close to me." He says grabbing my and wrapping his arms around me.
"Ha ha." I say sarcastically but still not being able to resist smiling.
"Were you on your way to the gym?" I ask Paul as I eye him up and down. He looked like he was about to work out.
"Oh, yeah, I came by to see if you wanted to join me?" He smirks.
"You'd love that wouldn't you?" I laugh and he nods immediately. "Alright let me get changed quickly." I say as I unwrap his arms and head towards my walk in wardrobe.
"Everyone's really excited to meet you. I think my dad and Cody are going to meet us at the airport to take us to the house." Paul says changing the subject. We were arriving later than the rest of Paul's family as Meadows flight wasn't until the 23rd.
"What have you told them about me?" I quickly ask. I was really worried about meeting his parents and siblings as I wanted them to think that I was good enough for Paul. I mean he's a massive movie star and I'm still in college still unsuccessful.
"Nothing but nice things." He smiles. "Don't be too surprised if my mom and sisters take to out shopping and interrogate you, it's kind of a tradition for them." I laugh but quickly stop once I remember something.
"Shit! Paul I need to buy everyone presents!" I say as I walk out of the wardrobe dressed. It would be completely rude of me to visit them on Christmas and not bring any gifts for his family.
"No don't worry about that, just give my parents some wine and they'll love you instantly."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, stop worrying."
