Iguro kept walking forward away from you after telling all those, while you stayed for a few seconds looking at his back as he walk away. Something inside you stung, hopefully it wasn't your heart. But of course, it is and will always be your heart.

A soft sigh escaped your lips as you slowly followed Obanai without making any noise. Honestly, if you were to chose a partner for a mission. You wouldn't be choosing him, even though you'd most likely do that before. Now, all you could think of is to get away from being paired up with the serpent pillar.

But of course, it won't be that easy. Considering he's quite a good partner for you from the beginning, he always save your butt. Not like the others can't do it, just that Iguro was the best at saving you when times like those come. Because he gives the most heartfelt motivational speech.

"Should I be concerned?" Tanjiro whispered in fear that the pillars might hear him asking such things.

Although his attempts of making no noise will fail as Tengen was there with them inside the room. So when the trio saw him looking at their direction, Tanjiro knew to shut himself up and look away. Although his other companions did not understand why he suddenly became silent, the atmosphere inside the room was unreadable despite having the jolly pillar– Rengoku Kyoujoru– with them.

The reason why it was unreadable is because of your arrival along with Iguro after being paired up on a mission together, no one knew exactly why the both of you were tensed up when you reported back. But seeing you restless while Iguro tried not to look at your direction was enough for them to wonder.

Mitsuri blinked in confusion though. She didn't understand why, "But it's like ignoring Iguro-san and [First Name]-chan!"

"Did you ever see them walk inside? They look like they're about to strangle each other so bad that none of them even tried to look at one another" Sanemi butted in with a huff "I don't know if you're that stupid."

"But then again, that's you."

Shinobu glared at the white haired male making Shinazugawa raise his hands, "What? Did you fucking expect me to sugarcoat my words?"

"Shinazugawa-san, you should have been a bit nice to Kanroji-san." Now their attention are on Tanjiro.

The boy could only blush at the sudden stares but decided to ignore it and look away.

It was true, the both of you did look like you wanted nothing to do with each other. The way you'd look away or maybe stare at the ground while you walked past them, usually you'd greet all of them after a mission. But today was different, which was kind of alarming for them. Obanai though was being his usual self with a little bit of tension, he wasn't relaxed or unbothered.

And that's the first time they saw him like that.
