As you expected the serpent pillar to react more harshly than what you did, he instead didn't say a word and walk away as if nothing has happened a while ago. As if you didn't just try to kill him.

You were mad at his reaction, how can someone be so cold after receiving a very emotional outburst from someone? Of course he doesn't care, but the way you delivered it fiercely. At least he should have a minor reaction towards it.

"Classic Igu–" A sudden breeze stopped you from talking further and you were now swept away from the ground like a little doll.

Your eyes widen in realization that you were held hostage by a demon and that Iguro was literally chasing it angrily.

The demon was fast on its feet along with some quite few tricks to slow Obanai down from following, you on the other hand tried thrashing around and punching its arms as if that would help you when you clearly know that it won't do a thing aside from being useless. You didn't want to admit about how things suddenly flip, how Iguro's statement has been proved again when a simple demon snatched you away just like that.

And now he's chasing it down on his own because you're taken as hostage by some demon.

"Look at your little friend trying to chase us~" the demon taunted in a little sing song voice as it jumped from another branch.

"I heard you fighting with that man, sucks for you though since you can't prove yourself to him right now."

The hysterical laugh from the demon made your blood boil, sure you were caught a bit off guard earlier. But that didn't mean you're completely useless, this demon will indeed get it when you get your hands on your sword.

"Just pray that I won't get my hands on my sword the moment Iguro sets me free from your grip."

Another hysterical laugh left the demon's lips after hearing your words,  "I don't think he'll be doing that– argh! STUPID HUMAN!"

"If you could have been so silent I would have at least appreciated your mere presence" Iguro growled under his breath when he finally caught up with the demon.

He successfully got you out of its grip after slicing its arms, the only problem that you're facing now is that your literally falling towards the ground. But of course, you weren't going to need his help once more.

You immediately landed on your feet beside Iguro after the fall.

"Thank you for the help" you thanked him awkwardly before casting your gaze from the side with your lips pursed.

The serpent pillar's only huffed at this and gestured towards the not so far part from the forest where your nichirin sword was particularly stuck at the moment.

"Hurry the fuck up and take your sword, I don't expect you to stand like a fucking victim when you're a pillar yourself."

The way he said it made you feel embarrassed as you make your way towards your own blade while dodging the demon's attempt on catching you with its other hands, Iguro of course was also a good help for keeping it away from getting close to you as much as possible.

It was very hectic, with you trying to keep yourself safe from dodging the attacks and Iguro helping out to at least give you a decent time to reach your sword and help. When you finally got your sword out of the tree, you then jumped back to the fight and slashed the demon's body causing it to scream in agony.

"Pathetic humans! You have no right to do such things!" the demon screamed in anger.

Angry pair of eyes glared down at you as it tried to blow an attack but you immediately jumped away before the arms can reach you and pull a hard punch on your stomach.

Iguro was quick to step in and blocked another attack going on your way, at a normal occasion he'd let you dodge all of it and watch you struggle. But today was quite different, you can say that.

The demon was quite strong that you think, and you know this will take a bit long to end even if you're both pillars.

"Breath of snow: Fourth form! Snow flakes!"

A confused look was plastered on the demon's face when he didn't see you anywhere. Instead, snowflakes fell off the sky like it was a peaceful moment. The demon's stiff and on guard demeanor suddenly dropped as he watch the scenery, it was as if he was put into a bottle of dreams.

Iguro notice you stealthily running towards the demon in attempt to slash its head off, his brows furrowed quickly as he observed your movements. Not really feeling well about what's about to happen.

And before he could even step in, another demon kicked you right away in order to save the other demon that you put into a trance by your breathing technique.

Soft painful coughs left your pale lips as you harshly landed on the ground, the demon which was in a trance earlier now snapped out of it and growled in anger.

"How dare you pull tricks on me!" it growled angrily towards you.

More attacks came on your way but it didn't really bother you even a bit as you dodge all of it in one way, even though the other demon's impact on you back still hurts. You weren't going to stop just there.

"I'll handle the other one" Iguro finally spoke after a moment of silence between the two of you as he jumped up and slashed the other demon that kicked you earlier.

"Breath of Snow: Third form! Ice storm!"

If snowflakes fell off the heavens earlier, it was now replaced with a drastic freezing rain as you ran towards the panicked demon. Your sword quickly slashing its neck only to realize that it wasn't enough.

You scowled.

Of course it wasn't enough, you weren't strong enough to cut it off by your own. Everyone knows that fact, even you yourself knows that fact.

But even with that, you still pushed the blade harder onto the demon's neck as it tried to escape from your wrath. Painful screams echoed throughout the whole forest as you successfully slashed the head off.

"You will regret ever doing this to me!!" the demon screamed in agony as its body slowly burned into ashes.

"I'll never regret ever slaying each and every single bit of your kind."

With that, you left the area to check if there were still demons lurking around. One of the reasons of course was that you didn't want to see Iguro at the moment.

A soft but painfully obvious sound of a breaking sword caught your hearing and you looked down at your nichirin blade in horror, cheeks flushed red as you tried to calm yourself down.

You'll definitely be getting some scolding from a certain swordsmith when you visit.
