Shinobu never liked the love pillar, unlike you she has been observant with the girl since who knows when. The moment your trio got disrupted by her sudden appearance, Kanroji has been the one to talk to you and Obanai when she had the chance. Until your friendship with the snake pillar shattered into big pieces, it finally crumble down during that unfortunate mission where Kanroji collapsed after using her full limit.

Her eyes flicker over the room where Iguro is being treated, Kanroji was also there with a worried expression. Oh how she wanted to barge in there and scrim at Iguro for all of the things he did to you, how could he find himself falling for the love pillar when all you did was sacrifice a lot for him ever since? "Kochou-san?" Kanroji's voice made her come back to her senses as Shinobu unclenched her fist, she didn't notice how she's been holding back her anger until the love pillar approached her.

How could she be so innocent?

Shinobu didn't show her anger, it wasn't relevant for now as she look at Kanroji's direction with a strained smile. The love pillar looked so curious and concerned it almost fooled her for a moment, Shinobu almost believed that she's kind. But all of what Kanroji has showed her is nothing but kindness, why is she so adamant at being mad? Is the love pillar really someone that can decieve others?

"Is something wrong, Kanroji?" a part of her wanted to make things straight and snap at her for letting you suffer but Shinobu knew better than to put Kanroji in a shameful light.

After all Kanroji is still your friend, and it is not her place to meddle with your personal issues unless you face it yourself and need Shinobu's help. That's what you always do after all, seek her for help. And she'll gladly give you a hand, Shinobu will always lend you a hand no matter what the consequences are. You suffered long enough, even if your destiny is to keep on suffering. She'll do anything to let you live a life that you deserve.

Even if that meant to kill you once you'll tell her that you'd prefer to be a demon instead of becoming a human once she finds an antidote for you to use. You don't deserve this kind of life after all, so might as well end your life before things escalate into a bad turn. Right?

Kanroji took a step forward to place a hand on the insect pillar's shoulder, her eyes full of worry as she looked at Shinobu's eyes.

Things changed for the better, and that better is destroying other people's lives and she didn't even know about it until Kanroji found herself seeking for Obanai's affection.

What did Iguro have that made her so interested? Was it his breathing technique? Was it his white snake? What?

Or was it that time where Kanroji, [First Name], and Iguro went on a mission together? It was that time wasn't it? Where he complimented her strength, but she didn't say anything about her appearance. After all, Iguro doesn't say such things for entertainment. He literally admired Kanroji's strength and now she's trying so much for him to notice her, Shinobu should congratulate her for being so effective.

Shinobu's brow furrowed deeper in annoyance "So you chose to ruin friendship for this? What's wrong with you Mitsuri?"

And for the first time Shinobu felt permanent hatred as Mitsuri shook her head apologetically, her light green eyes looked away from the other slayer's judging gaze.

Kanroji couldn't help but be upset, why couldn't Shinobu understand her? What's so wrong about loving someone? About wanting to keep them forever? Iguro showed her something possible, and now she wanted to make it grow more than just a simple word. More than just that compliment.

"[First Name] will understand for sure" she tried to compromise as Kanroji looked over at the angered girl "She's kind after all, [First Name] always understand!"

How Shinobu wanted to slice her head off like a demon at that time, how dare she treat [First Name] like that as if she's going to be okay with everything? All because of a boy, Kanroji is willing to do everything. It doesn't even matter if she'll hurt her friend, after all [First Name] would always set aside and understand. That's what she always do.
